Log files usually have specific text at the beginning of each line so it'd be helpful to hide lines or highlight whole lines with a specific color. This could be implemented in syntax highlighting if multiple comment types could be made available or it could be enabled through the find tool. For instance, in find, it'd be helpful to select highlight expression or highlight whole line. For everytime the user presses find, allow the user to select the color of the search results. You could then find some text that and highlight it red, then other text and highlight it orange, etc. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I have also writen structures and the ini-File calls to save and read this info. I will update the link I have already posted to my site with a version that has this feature in when it is complete. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. (Help forum) http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1979787&forum_id=331754 Currently, you can mark all found occurrences, but all in the same color. Perhaps you can define your own language which will color different log comments to suit your personal purposes. You can also choose to only show or hide those lines that contain a certain string or regex using TextFX Viz. You have to apply this a number of times to be left with only those lines you want. You may use a tool like TextCrawler to extract (all) those lines you want in one pass. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I've had a look through the Preferences, and couldn't find a way to change this. (Please let me know if I missed it!) Would it be possible to allow having the most recent files at the top of the File menu, recent files section? And would it be possible to have the most recent search text at the top of the Find dropdown menu? Having them reversed is very inconvenient for those of us that prefer not to use the mouse.. Thanks, Peter ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I disagree to that for the recent files. The current implementation is easier to me, because I don't have to use the CursorUp key that often to get to the most recent file. I start from the bottom, which takes less effort than moving to the middle of the menu. However, I do think that it would make a difference if these files would get a number prefix, allowing to open (most) them again by a single keystroke. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. It's still incomplete and some of the drawing functions still don't do what I want them to, but feel free to test it. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. If people choose to ignore what is actually happening in China and Tibet then shame on you. If Don chooses to have an opinion that you do not agree with so be it. Disagree!
