When writing code I have to do a lot of calculations, opening up MS Calc is
lame, especially if I close it by habit and then need the calculation again
I have to redo it.

Anyway, this feature would be much like that of minipad2 Calculator Page.

It could be a plug-in or just a menu item that when clicked would open a new
blank page in which you could simply type:

480*4, hit enter and it would put " = 1920" after it, then you will be placed
at the next line to enter another calculation.

this would be cool because this page would basically be a built-in calculator
that you could switch to and see all your calculations for the day.

<fingers crossed> to have this implemented in my lifetime.

Thank you and great software, I've been using it everyday for nearly 2 years
now.

Yes, I agree, but then it becomes another application / window just like MS
Calc was.

I'm not too sure how difficult it would be to implement but to have this 
integrated
as another tab would be great; then no Alt-Tab or Externally run programs
necessary.

Heck if I had my choice I'd have NP++ come up when I booted my computer and
then have it shell out and run Windows XP if I needed something ;)

I find this call for a Boycott completely misleading and incorrect.

Everybody knows China doesn't adapt to the human right.

2 things :

1) Don't punish athletes from all around the world working all day long to once
in time getting their ultimate dream, the Olympic games.

2) Punish China ! Politics stick their heads in the sand because China is 
becomming
a world power, boycotting Olympics is like peeing in the sea. You need to 
boycott
them financially and by serious means. People organizing the games their and
building stadiums are normal behaving men and woman, working hard to earn some
money. It's the big guys of the country that need to be punished, not the tiny
people AGAIN !

Hi Don, Harry got it right.

Let me try to explain a little better:

- open xml file (i just attached my test file to bug request 1909699)
- clone to another view
- copy a view lines 
 up to here everythings is fine. (see:
http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/7735/nppsynhighbeforeqh6.png)

- paste the new lines somewhere in the same file
 now ou have happy colouring :-) (see:
http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/341/nppsynhighafteris6.png)
 
this can be done by either (CTRL+C and CTRL+V) or (Copy-Button and Paste-Button)
or (Drag'n'Drop)
Pasting the copied lines over the still selected nothings changes.
I was only able to reproduce this in clone view (seperate identical files are
handled fine).


If more information is needed, dont hesitate do ask me

Hi again,

by making the screenshots for happy colouring i stumbled upon another split
view problem.
which i call happy hiding ;-)

it's difficult to describe, so i post the steps to reproduce 

- open one file and clone to to another view
- click into the left file an press "close all"
- open a file eihter by drag'n'dop or file dialog or "explorer context menu:
edit in npp"
- (!) the edit field is empty (new2), but the window title has changed to the
right filename
- choose go to another view fo new2 and you get all your hiden files back...

NOTE: i think it depends on which view is selected when closing all. sometimes
it's the left sometimes the right.
Maybe there is a "master view" and a "secondary view". Didn't check the source
;-)

Is anyone able to reproduce this? (4.8.2 and 4.8.5 - didn't try older version)
