I have a new version of the German language file. No missing strings that I
know of.
Download: http://rapidshare.com/files/108967718/German.xml.html
If somebody else is already working on that, apologies for busting in.

Hi.
I?m a begining programmer in Pascal and I like very very much this text editor
as it makes the code (for a beginner) much more comprehensible. The problem
is I?m trying to compile code whis spanish characters(?,?...) and so on.
If I edit the text on a console based program (fpc IDE or MsDos' Edit) Y can
see the characters properly and compile it perfect (the program will show all
the chars). If I encode it as UTF-8 then I get the error messege. And if I
compile
it as Ascii it won?t show the letters I want.

So, is there any why to write in 850 charset or some equivalent way with
Notepad++?

Sorry if i?m offtopic and help you for any suggestion!!!

btw, Thanks for this awesome tool!!!

Yep. Me too - I want the Notepad++, but with Textpad's ctrl+1 (compile) and
ctrl+2 (run) functionality. The perfect combo of them both.

And an IDE is just NOT the answer. I don't want an IDE. I want a text editor.
One that folds, like Notepad++, but compiles like Textpad.

Hi,

I am using the latest version of Notepad++ (4.8.5) for PHP Development. It's
a great product, and I really enjoy using it. However, recently we had to switch
from FTP to SFTP for our source upload, and I started to use the sftpdrive
(sftpdrive.com, v1.7.9 [latest]) to connect to my workspace. Everything works
perfectly - except one thing:

Light Explorer only displays folders and hidden files!

That is, I can see a .htaccess, but I cannot see an index.php. If I right-click
on a folder to open it in Windows Explorer, I can successfully select the file,
open it in Notepad++ and save changes. The same is true of all other Windows
programs I am using. So it looks like this is a bug in Light Explorer,
unfortunately.

Has anyone else encountered a similar problem and knows a work-around? Or is
it possible that the bug might be fixed?

Many thanks!

Batrick

If you read the times into an Excel sheet and copy the values to another column,
with number markup, can't you simply add your desired number of seconds (also
converted to a number) to the converted dates? You then only have to convert
the results back to a date format.

I don't know about that. I only suggested it, because I expect the automatic
backup feature would have saved your file while working on it. If it is
disabled,
surely, you wouldn't expect the problem to be your system being shutdown while
re-writing the file.

Don't you keep a backup of the previous version you worked on?
Do I understand you _only_ keep one single working file?

That's also not good practice.
Always keep a second copy of your file which you can compare to the changed
file after editing.
Next to that, my advise is to always backup the complete directory your work
files are in.

Is the server a unixbox?
If it is, does it then help to make the file
executable (chmod +x filename) in an ssh/telnet session.

If that helps, then it looks like my samba problems :-(

I'm the guy who started the thread (using FC as signature), i just remembered
i had an old sourceforge account, so i'll be using this one from now on.
Coming to the point.. i don't know. I haven't put too much attention to the
other matters, but this doesn't mean i won't do it if things don't get too much
complicated.

Hi,

As notepad++ being my daily code tool I can't live a day without, I've got an
annoying problem.
Yesterday I upgraded to Vista, and decided to install a clean install of
Notepad++.
I added an ftp server of a website I'm working on in the ftp plugin.
Normally (with the old install - I think cause some setting) it would have
opened
that file on the actual webserver.
Only it does open it in the plugin directory where it is cached! Does anyone
know how I can have files i'm altering on server also being opened from the
server when I press press "preview in firefox/ie"?

Thanks in advance,

Joe.
