At least for me, this feature don't works. I have it enabled in the preferences,
but any space is added in the next line after the braces. I have to re-indent
all always with re-indent C++ feature.

The Sel info only shows the "distance" between the first and last selected
position.
So it counts all the characters of all the lines in-between.

This gets even funnier when you have wrap mode turned on.
You _can_ do block selection on any (partial) line in wrap mode, but _only_
the characters on the first part(ial line) will be selected.
When you move the cursor up or down on the same line (to another partial line)
you will also see the number of Sel characters change.

One thing that I would find very useful about the ctrl-g command would be if
it trimmed the input.

I work in classic asp alot and when i testrun my page and get an error-message
i doubleclick on the line in the errormessage and paste it in ctrl-g popup and
hit return... only to have it fail because double-click, ctrl-c on html-page
includes a blankspace at the end.

Also:
I so love this program, np++ is truly great, love you all who work on it. Big,
big thank you :)

To have a "clean" testing, you must download the latest zip-archive, unpack
it to new empty folder and run Notepad++ from there.
After you do it, there will be several questions if you still have the error:
1) What is your OS?
2) What is regional settings and language of your OS?
3) Do the files, which you want to open, have Unicode names (i.e. contains
hieroglyphs or something similar)?
4) What is the content of these files? ANSI text? DBCS text? Unicode text (UCS2,
UTF-8 etc.)? Binary?
5) Does Notepad++ crash immediately or try to open the file and then crash?
Does it show any error message?
Finally, can you describe your steps in details?

The auto-indent feature will not necessarily properly format your code, what
it will do, is automatically indent the next line, so that it has the same
indentation as the previous line. If you disable this feature, each new line
will start at the page margin, rather than the same indentation as the previous
line.
