Hi,

I've just started playing with NP++ and it's looking great. Still, I have some
feature requests too:
- When I use auto-completion with HTML/XML/XSL files, it would be very helpful
to have intellisense, so I can toggle through a list of functions and
parameters.
Since you don't mind stealing great ideas, have a look at PSPAD, which has its
HTML auto-completion enhanced such that it pops up a complete form in which
you can fill in all variables that you need.
- Alternatively, it would be nice to have a second level of auto-completion,
e.g. I first auto complete the anchor element in HTML, <a , and while standing
after the <a, I press auto-complete again, and it pops up a window with all
the parameters that the <a element understands.
- Furthermore, when inserting certain commands, e.g. an xsl:if element, it would
be useful if the next line would auto-indent.

Two additional suggestions:
- When opening a new file, ask the type of file you want to open, and use a
default template to populate it, e.g. when I create a new XML file, start will
the xml namespace stuff, a default html head/body etc.
- When pressing Ctrl-C or Ctrl-X when nothing is selected, why don't you
copy/cut
the current line instead (e.g. like SharpDevelop IDE does).

BTW if someone knows how I can enable these features, e.g. by installing a
plugin,
please let me know.

Thanks
Erik

Hi, I tried to follow the instructions here for changing the default comment
font:
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1715611&forum_id=331753

Is the stylers.model.xml the same as the stylers.xml file? I don't have a file
called stylers.xml, but I have stylers.model.xml and I replaced all the
instances
of Comic Sans MS with "" and the same for the font size. However, the font and
size of my comments are still Comic Sans MS size 8. Anyone know why that might
be?

Thanks.

Then do your version and submit it as patch. I may consider it.
Anyway, I won't work on it.

Thank you for this new release!

> 1. Add smart highlighting feature (double click a word to highlight all the
same word in the document).

Double click a word you see multiple in a document --> F3 resp. shift+F3 won't
work then.
Crtl+f same very word, esc from dialog, F3 resp. shift+F3 works.
Small bug.

In this version 'FunctionList.dll' (v 1.2) won't work, that .dll is just fine
in 4.85.

> 10. Bug fixed : Find dialog always scrolls text into view now.

This doesn't work when you use "Search in all open files" and in the list with
the search results scroll down the results list and doubleclick a line, say
330. The last displayed line will be 329.

Some other things not specifically related to the 4.9 release:

- Using the "Search in all open files" dialog brings the focus to the search
result list which prevents to close the search dialog with the ESC key. I think
i would be better if the dialog got the focus back after building the result
list

- When I install a new version the installer knows where I previously installed
Np++ but it doesn't remember that I unchecked "Auto Updater" and checked "Don't
use AppData"

- In the "File" menu there's that list with previously opened files. In all
programs I know this list displays the last used file on top. Only Np++ displays
it at the bottom. Could that be changed? Or made configurable, at least?

- And finally a feature request: I'd like a toolbar button for "Save as...".
Any chance?

This is such a simple little feature, but I honestly have searched everywhere
for this option and cannot find it.

When printing code, I often find it necessary to print 2 pages squished onto
1 sheet to avoid using too much paper.

Does this option exist in the program settings (not in the actual printer
settings)
and if not, can it be made to? Ultraedit does this but I hate that editor.

Almost three years passed and nothing happened :-(
This thing is still keeping me from using NP++. All other good editors like
ConTEXT or PSPad are providing it. And if you've ever became used to this
feature
you're gonna miss it like hell. Just my 2cents.

I'm quite sure that v4.8.5 has the same behaviour.
"Find Next w/o launching Find dialog" is Ctrl+F3.

It depends on Jens (Funcntion list plugin author) to fix that.
