The DLL does say that is it v1.5

Hey man - THANKS! I had a seriously annoying prob which made all file
associations
for npp show up with that ugly windows default icon and it was driving me nuts
- your solution fixed it - much thx, great work!

I went from N++ 4.2.2 to 4.9.1, and almost went back to 4.2.2 when I couldn't
find the menus. I think it should default to showing the menus, and let folks
turn them off as an option. Otherwise, they think it's broken.

I think it would be great if Notepad++ could have a tooltip for each file name
tab area. When the mouse hovers over it, it would display the full path to
the filename. Right now, there's not a way to find out that information w/o
dumping it to the clipboard via the right mouse button.

As far as I can tell, the recent file list only contains files that were
_closed_
(instead of "not being open") during the current Notepad++ session. So you won't
see anything there if you have just started Notepad++.

Unfortunately this is not the same. This feature affect open and save dialogs.
But I like the current behaviour of the open dialog (it is in the same directory
as the currently open file, and its more important for me).

I also noticed switching issues, however I disabled the smart highlighting,
