This has been asked a number of times before, even recently.
You may have missed or skipped this thread by its mysterious title:

"Features that would make my life easier"
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=2031756&forum_id=331753

You will find more requests by using the search functionality in the upper right
corner of the page.

http://sourceforge.net/search/?words=%2Bfind+%2Breplace+%2Bfiles&sort=posted_dat
e&sortdir=desc&offset=0&group_id=95717&forum_id=331753&type_of_search=forums&pmo
de=0&limit=50

One question is: do you _really_ want Notepad++ to change your files, without
even opening them in the editor itself? Would you require undo-functionality?

You can also use a specific tool to achieve what you ask for.

"Tools to find and copy regex matches in files"
http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4915704

You can use Agent Ransack to _find_ all the files matching your criteria, select
them all and open them in (possibly a new instance of) Notepad++. You can then
replace all occurrences in all files, which will allow you to undo your actions
before having overwritten your files.

You can use Text Crawler to do the replacing all at once, even with creating
backups first.

Is code folded by default, then, or perhaps the folding state saved in the
session?
I don't think it is, but I don't use it anyway.

You can undo all folding by pressing ALT+SHIFT+0, Unfold All in the View menu.
You can change the shortcut, if you like, by using the Shortcut Mapper in the
Settings Menu.

Perhaps it would be nice if the folder margin could also be hidden, resulting
in always all lines of code being shown automatically. It would create a little
more space like hiding the line number margin does.

Hi DV,

Many thanks for your testing and feedback. Can I confirm with you that input
was broken with previous versions of this plugin (with Notepad++ version >=
4.8.2), and the test version here resolves this?
As for the menu display, it has always been like that. I've to re-write the
plugin to handle all the conversions between encodings, as it is currently
assuming
all things are in ANSI, and of course compiling in unicode. I've tried once
a quick and dirty unicode version change, but it was unsuccessful and I've
scrapped
that. I'm on the drawing board for a new version that should hopefully improve
many things about this plugin, but that'll take time :-)
And thanks also for confirming what I thought was causing the input bug. Let's
just hope that I implemented the fix correctly ;-) Would be nice to hear more
yes before I release this as an update. =-D

Yes I want Notepad++ to change my files, without even opening them in the editor
, sometimes I need to change variable like "$MyName" with "$Name" in all files
of my project or changing command like "str_replace" with "str_ireplace" , I
can do that with another editor like PsPad http://www.pspad.com , but I want
to use notepad++ without need to use other editors

Regards

following advice below i couldn't get this GLSL xml working, it seems legit
but i fail

Here're the instructions to install them :

   1. Download the user-defined language to your computer
   2. Open the file with your favourite text editor (such as notepad++
or notepad)
   3. Click start, run, type (or paste in) %APPDATA%\Notepad++ then click ok
   4. Open userDefineLang.xml with a text editor
   5. If this is the first userdefined language you are adding, copy/paste the
entire first file (which you downloaded) into the userDefineLang.xml, replacing
all that was there. If this is the second or more language you add, simply copy
everything from the first file starting at <UserLang...> to </UserLang> and
paste it at the end of the userDefineLang.xml right before </NotepadPlus>
   6. Save the newly improved userDefineLang.xml
