There's "save", and "save as", and "save all".
Is there a "save all as"?

Hi,
is it possible that there is a "global hotkey" for NPP?
If got the following problem:
Situation:
* NPP is running, but not the active application (i.e. NPP is minimized)
* Within an other application I press the "closing square bracket" (] - AltGr+9)
* NPP activates automatically, the other application looses focus ...
That's annoying ...
Is "]" a global hotkey for activating a running instance of NPP? If yes: How
to disable this?

Hi,
I like the new feature "smart highlightning", but it is very slow when calling
the search (strg f) for searching in big files because the word at the coursor
has been taken to search form and also highlighted about the whole document.
This takes a very long time when I want to search in big files (for example
logfiles ~100MB) Is it possible to change this without deactivating smart
highlightning?

Hi Don,
You encourage me to post this by saying ?Notepad++ could be a IDE if you load
specific plugins?.
Well then as to support the IDE functionality, I will like to have 2 features
in N++, which I already mentioned in earlier post.
1. Grouping the opened files.
Frankly, I haven?t used the session functionality much. But there should be
functionality to group the files in editor. And best way to display it is by
showing Tabs over the tables.
You may call it as project or Group. And may show it in right/Left pane or as
I mentioned above. I will like that.
My concern about to call it as Project is it feels like editor is made for
developer.
The people using this editor other than development will feel appropriate.
The use of these groups can be used to open more than one actual project. A
project file will be helpful to open the group of files.
Also as I mentioned earlier. Find/Replace functionality need to be implemented
for group.
2. SVN/CVS support.
This is also I have mentioned earlier. I found one plug in to compare file with
SVN. This gave encouragement to request this feature.
What I would like here is
CVS compare
CVS Commit/Update
SVN Commit/Update
Commit/Update is available in Visual Studio for VSS. But none of IDE/editor
support CVS and SVN better. As a leading editor NPP should support that.
Well some one will not like these features in NPP because these are related
to developers. But my frank opinion about this is NPP is text editor. If any
one likes to draft a letter, it will prefer MS Word or Open Office. NPP mostly
used by developers. These features will defiantly encourage developers.
And in this post ?I? is developer.
I will again mention to all. Please post your comments to these features.
Regards,
Abhay Joshi

That's because abc in 'abc' is not recognized as a single (separated) word.
If you select 'abc' completely, with both apostrophes, all _those_ occurrences
will be highlighted.

There is another thing. When you don't want smart highlighting and turn it off,
it doesn't "get" this if you (still) had something smart highlighted.
Of course, nothing should be smart highlighted when the option is turned off.
But you have to turn smart highlighting back on again, unselect the word to
remove the highlighting and then turn the feature off again to prevent it from
being activated again.

There's a very annoying bug in notepad++.
When the brakets are open or closed, they became red (this is nice). But if
parenthesis are in comments (at least comments of XML) they also slyghtly move
on the left (or rigth, now i don't remember). This is annoyng really, when i
want to write something, and i don't understand if i am in parenthesis or out
of them. i delete a letter, and the parenthesi is deleted. Please, fix it, if
it's possible.

I'm trying to make a custom language, but the language (FastStep script) has
the following problem to implement:
The script language uses '{' to indicate the start of a line comment and has
2 different ways of defining a block comment:
/* ...*/ and {...}
So the symbol for a line comment '{' is the same as that of the start of a block
comment...
Difference between the block comments is that {...} is restricted to a single
line
Example:
1)
{<should be comment till end of line>
2)
{<comment>} <no comment>
3)
{<comment>
<no comment>
So in short: is it possible to make the line comment stop at the '}' and at
the end of a line too?

Please, complain to the FastStep script developers for having such a retarded
comment design. (Where is it from, byt the way?)
You can still use "{" to only write line comments.

Hi,
I'd like to know if there is some way to do a "find all" on the current file
only (that is, not in all the open files).
The notepad++ find dialog is really complete and full featured. However I have
not found any way to do a "find all" on the currently selected file only.
There is a button to "Find all in all opened documents" but when you are working
with a lot of files at the same time (and sometimes they are not related) this
is not so useful.
So, if there is no way to do this I would like to suggest that it would be a
useful feature and I hope that it could be added to the find dialog.
Thanks a lot for this amazing piece of software. It is certainly the best open
source editor for Windows!
Cheers,
Amadawn
