However, that does not mean that the dialog cannot be improved so that it is both simpler (or at least not more complex than it already is) and also allows to do a "Find All" "on current document". In my opinion, instead of having a big "Find all in all opened documents' on the "Find" section, and a two buttons called "Replace All" and "Replace all in all opened documents" in the Replace section, there could be single (and smaller) "Find all" button, below which a "scope selector" could be placed. This would be a simple combobox with 2 options: "In current document" and "In all open documents". I think this would work very well since it would make the Find and the Replace tabs be more similar, since the buttons on the right would have the same layout, while giving the possibility of doing both a find in all open documents and a find in the current document only. Don, what do you think? Would that be acceptable to you? Cheers, Amadawn ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I can confirm it no longer messes non-ASCII characters in the main window. :-) Now we can keep it installed all the time again instead of installing it only when we want to hex-edit something... :-) Thanks for the fix. I second this guy's opinion, these are all relevant requests. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. To: Notepad++ <notepad-plus-plus@lists.sourceforge.net> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Is there a way to make CTRL+SHIFT+S or CTRL+S automatically clear trailing whitespace (tabs, spaces, etc)? I know there's like an ALT+S option, but that one is a little weird. When pressing ALT+S when the caret is in the middle of some text causes it to insert a tab for some reason. Help is appreciated. It would be nice if there was an option somewhere for "Clear trailing whitespace on save". -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... ------------------------------ Message: 8 Date: Thu, 3 Jul 2008 14:16:52 -0500 From: "Robert Dailey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [Notepad-plus-plus] Converting line endings To: Notepad++ <notepad-plus-plus@lists.sourceforge.net> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Hi, Is there an intuitive way of converting all line endings in a set of files to Windows, Unix, or Mac line endings? This needs to be a batch operation. For example, if I want to ensure that 300 text files of mine are using Windows line endings, I need to be able to use Notepad++ to search all line endings not equal to \r\n and convert them to \r\n. I've tried doing this with regular expressions, but it doesn't work out. Help is appreciated. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... ------------------------------ Message: 9 Date: Thu, 03 Jul 2008 22:52:28 +0200 From: Jurko Gospodneti? <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [Notepad-plus-plus] Converting line endings To: notepad-plus-plus@lists.sourceforge.net Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Hi Robert. > Is there an intuitive way of converting all line endings in a set of > files to Windows, Unix, or Mac line endings? Simple iteration over all such files and running unix2dos/dos2unix or any similar unix-like utility should work just fine. However, the entire package is quite heavy and in the case the absence of libxml2.dll, XMLTools.dll failed to be loaded. libxml2.dll is installed on each pc where I work so there's no need to includ libxml2.dll. It would be nice that XML Tools loads libxml2.dll dynamically. ie. if libxml2.dll is not installed in users' system, then XML Tools makes only one menu entry "How to use", which launches a dialog to indicate where to download the library, just like Spell-checker plugin. Is there any chance to implement in this way so that I can include XML tools plugin in Notepad++ future release?
