The find in files feature doesn't give any indication of progress when it
searches.
it just appears to lock up until its finished.

Text does not really disappear. Just resize the window and the wrapped data
comes back.

Often when I'm editing python files, I get errors when I run them. I open them
up in a different text editor and I find that an indentation comes out of
nowhere!
Does anybody experience similar issues? Is there a solution?

On vista.

I have some files that have double extensions. Specifically something like this:
"file.xml.php"

I would like to be able to associate the XML style to these files by entered
"xml.php" in the "User Ext" field on the Style Configurator.

If this is possible, I would be eternally grateful :)

Thanks!

Is there a way to add or remove (toggle) "//" in front of all selected lines?
That would be great...

Immediately after using Control+X to cut text in N++ 5.0.2, the cursor gets
placed N characters prior to where it is supposed to be (where "N" is
approximately
equal to the number of characters cut).

In other words, consider the following text (including the quotation marks):
"Software will never be free of bugs!"

When I Ctrl-X cut the phrase ' be free of bugs!"' from that sentence, the cursor
will end up between the "f" and the "t" in "software." Strangely, this does
not occur every time I use Ctrl-X, but most of the time. It seems to happen
more frequently when I cut multiple lines of text. Never happened with the
4.X versions. I never used 5.0.0 or 5.0.1.

I cannot duplicate this bug by using the Edit->Cut menu item, so this seems
to be specific to the Ctrl-X operation itself.

Any thoughts?

Just to follow up:

I uninstalled N++ 5.0.2 and wiped all of it's directories (including APPDATA
files). Then I reinstalled and downloaded the newest XMLtools. The problem
now seems to be gone. So clearly it was related to having an older version
installed previously.

Hi!

Please look here: http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5081264 and
try Don's answer (next post), that will solve the problem without having to
re-install Np++... ;-)

Greetings from Germany,
Dominik

Yes, there is a plugin called function list. But it contains some bugs with
the new version. Therefore you should use the version 1.2. It is more stable,
but expect not to much...

Best Regards
Jens

... I forget to say where you can found the plugin:
Have a look into the help menu of Notepad++ -> "?->Plugin Website".

It would be very helpfull to show the count of found words when you use the
new function "highlight words" (double click on a word).
