This keeps being overridden in upgrades. Why not just get rid of the abhorrent
font in the first place?

I tried the option of adding the "-multiinst" to the commandline of a shortcut
to see if this would bring up a separate instance. It didn't. It simply
refocused
on the current instance. I'm disappointed. I hope this gets fixed. I really
get steamed at only having to open just one instance of an editor to do my work.

The only workaround is the Alt-F6 shortcut to open a new instance of the current
workspace to get another instance of Notepad++. This "bug" is referring to the
"so-called" latest release 5.0.3. If this doesn't get fixed by the end of this
month...I'm downloading an evaluation copy of UltraEdit.

No reason why not. I just would like to see some more non-european based
languages
too. :)

maybe you can make just 1 TOGGLE comment/uncomment command instead..

so if I have selection code and did say ctrl+shift+q it would add the defined
block comment tags for that language..then if I say just only even had the a
cursor selector inbetween code that was already commented out.. and used the
same shortcut it should take out the comment tags on each end SMART like!!!

multiinst commandline option is not working. Try adding this to a shortcut and
launching Notepad++ in a new instance. It doesn't fly. I'm also seeing the color
syntax disappearing when you scroll through the document. These are obviously
bugs that need fixing.

What is the status for Notepad++ handling large documents? Has this feature
been implemented?

Hi Don,

As install this patch, it removes plugin 'function list' with reason of
incompatible.
However, as I manually put this plugin back, it seems to work normally. What
is the incompatible issue for this plugin exactly?

Athens Yan

OK. another issue for me. (N++ 5.03, CCompletion 1.08)

Preconditions
1. Have a pretty big project (in my case it's sources for Miranda IM)
2. This project should be added in NppCCompletionPlugin.ini
3. ctags file for the project already generated (it's about 6Mb in my case)

Steps to reproduce
1. Open the source file from the project. Notice the memory consumption by N++
in any process manager (it was about 10M for me)
2. Start code surfing by F12 ("History function failure" can be observed at
1st attempt) (memory is increased to 60M)
2. Continue surfing by F12. At the moment when about 5 tabs are opened in 2nd
view the memory consumtion is about 100M and N++ become very slow.

BTW, I also tried on our internal project (C/C++ code, about 500M of sources,
ctags.tmp - 60MB). N++ consumed about 1G of memory within few F12-attempts

Don't know if this will help you, but on my system, holding down the right mouse
button while scrolling the wheel pops up a list of all tabs that you can scroll
through.

I made update to the last version and a bug has appeared.
When I save a new document, I select the folder and press Save. The document
is saved. All is OK.
But when I enter in this folder, my document hasn't any extension.
And for opening my document I must select "Edit with Notepad++" from the context
menu every time.
Help me please.

P.S. Sorry for my English.

I don't wish to start a flame war and I certainly am not against adding
AutoHotKey
support to Notepad++ but I think that is is not such a great idea to ask for
a new feature by putting down a programming language that you do not use. Not
everybody thinks that AutoHotKey is easier to use than AutoIt.

AutoHotKey is perhaps simpler, since it lacks some of the newest features of
AutoIt, but it is not easier. A lot of people prefer the syntax of AutoIt much
more and find it easier to use.

Also regarding the AutoHotKey being open source, it is also the reason why
AutoIt
is not open source _anymore_! AutoHotKey was originally a fork of AutoIt2 and
the developers of AutoIt3 did not like that the AutoHotKey team was "copying"
their code, so they closed the source for newer versions (but not completely,
since it is still possible to get the code if you really want it and ask
nicely).

All I know is that at some point there was a lot of name calling between both
projects but things seem to have calmed a lot since them. Both are great
scripting
languages and very useful tools. I think messages such as yours only serve to
bring back the time where there was a lot of issues between both projects.

Cheers,

Amadawn

That new version works fine, the bug is fixed!

Sorry for the previous statement. The problem was in the fact, that I have some
other older plugins obviously with the same bug. Namely I have to update the
WindowManager (1.1.1 to 1.1.2) and the HexEditor (0.8.3 to 0.9.0). Then it has
started to work ok.
