Am I the only one having a hex editor problem? version 0.8.4 doesn't work with
npp5. When I download the latest plugin, it's in a folder for 0.9.0, but the
file inside is really 0.8.4... this doesn't help me much.
idea's? suggestions? additions anyone?

Oh...that's easy. With me...I would simply import a webpage source code into
NotePad++ 5.0.3 and just scroll through the document. After a while something
strange happens...the color syntax color coding drops off and you have ugly
black text running through the whole thing.

Hi,
I'll take a look at the issues (sooner or later). Note a few things, though:
1. CCompletion stores file path for each tag, along with some other strings
and data. Meaning, the struct is as I remember > 300 B, 400 more likely. One
million tags would probably cost about 400 MB of memory. The current
implementation
was build with simplicity in mind, but I guess it's time to start optimizing.
I'll think about more memory friendly solutions, like a separated string
depository.
Performance might decrease, though.
2. If N++ is also slow while you aren't using CCompletion (having the dialog
open or in the moment when you trigger some function), then CCompletion has
nothing to do with the slowness since it's not doing anything.

It seems your download manager uses its cache to "download" the plugin, so
actually
you don't download the newest archive.
Try to empty your download cache or download the plugin from another computer
or another system.

NppExec plugin.
You can use its own implementation of "dir" command or start cmd.exe inside
NppExec's console. To do the second thing, open NppExec's Console, type
cmd
and press Enter. As a result, cmd.exe is running inside NppExec's Console.
Don't forget to type "exit" to close cmd.exe when you'll don't need it.
Type "help" inside NppExec's Console for more information about NppExec.

The 5.03 version is really bad.
I couldn't fix the above and the autocompletion function isn't work either.
I've downloaden 5.02, which is working much better.
