I downloaded the theme and followed the installation instructions but the
program
still looks the same (white background). What am I doing wrong?
"Install: copy your installed Notepad++ directory root, overwrite old
stylers.xml
(backup old file first),
or copy %APPDATA%\Notepad++\

Any help would be appreciated.

hey guys..
first of all..
I wanna thank you for the great program..
and I just wanna ask you if there is any chance to add (( actionscript language
))
for the ones who don't know the (( ActionScript language )) it's a language
used in flash :)
we all know that you can make a ActionScript file if you put .as in the end
of the file..
so I hope from you guys to help me out and a lot of ppl like me which to have
((ActionScript)) in notepad++
:)
you don't have to post back..
but I'll be more than happy if you did..

CCompletion 1.09 for Notepad++ v5.0.3
CCompletion is a free plugin with these functions:
- code completion (complete the partially-typed-in identifier, case
insensitive)
- identifier lookup (you can quickly search for an identifier using simple
regular expressions, without having to type anything in the Notepad++ editor)
- go to identifier in the view of your choice (either by using a direct
shortcut
from an identifier currently under keyboard caret, or by opening the CCompletion
dialog and using regular expression to choose the identifier)
- separate history function for both views (move forward and backward, can
manually insert or delete individual entries)
- comes with help that describes all the functions in even more detail ;)
- as a bonus, a hardcoded snippet system (designed only for C programming
language,
though)
Install the plugin by copying its .DLL file to Notepad++ \plugins\ directory.
You will also need to add in this directory the ctags.exe file, which you can
get here:
http://ctags.sourceforge.net
Due to Exuberant Ctags power, CCompletion works with many programming languages,
but is designed and tested mainly for C programming language. You can still
give it a try, though.
Changes in 1.09:
- fixed some bugs
- redesigned and fixed history
- some snippet improvements

Hi, just tried it - but it worked.
OS:Win XP
NPP 5.0.3
Open: NPP and the explorer / CMD command showing the file
edited a log file and changed it: size as well as date was updated without
having
to change the focus to another window or changing the tabs in NPP.
The CMD command file myfile.cmd:
:start
dir _myfile.log
ping -n 3 127.0.0.1 1>NUL
goto start
Now whats going wrong ?

I think he means to this bug:
when notepad++ opens actionscript/as files, it has a bug in the code
highlighting.
this bug is fixed after applying the Flash Actionscript style again.
I've already reported it in the bugs forum - but havn't seen any response..

Hi
I have the same problem, N++ crashes very, very often :(
the error displayed is :
An exception occured. ...
Code : 0xC0000005
Type: Access violation
Exception adress: 0x015110BC or 0x0151AE35
I work with N++ 5.0.3 on Win XP SP3
Dates of files are not very stranges, but for some of them, the created date
is newer the modified date (e.g. : created 2008.08.08 - modified 2006.12.17)
Those files are some copies of copies (of copies ?) of unzip files (with 7-zip).
Crashes happen even if any strange file is not open
I would like to upgrade N++ but I read to upgrade it from binaries files (zip)
I have to delete config.xml and stylers.xml : How to do to not loose my Syntax
Highlighting ?

If you update from the binaries you can keep your stylers.xml, but you risk
having a few misconfigured settings.
The crash you are experiencing is not a result of file date problems, but
something
else, however right now thats hard to solve.
What exactly were you doing at the time of the crash? And does it still crash
if you try a fresh install (just extract the binary to a new empty folder and
run it from there)

crashes happen often when I pass from N++ to my browser (already open) or an
other application
a small detail (but maybe...), I use Exporer Plugin and, in the files window,
when I come back to N++, icons of HTML files are not displayed (like if any
application associated with them) and when I change directory, HTML icons are
diplayed well.
I will use a fresh install like you advise me to see how it's run
