Thanks in advance...

Dear All,
I have just installed Notepad++ 5.0.3 in my system. Can anyone tell me how to
configure Notepad++ for supporting my own language that I develop.? Awaiting
for your reply. Thanks in advance.

I would like to know this as well. There should be an option to load all files
that were results from a search.

Yeah, I think you're right. Thanks.

Looks like there's a series of files named like LexLangname.cxx (ie,
"LexPython.cxx")
in the ./scintilla/src dir of the source. PHP lexing appears to be defined
in "LexOthers.cxx". So anything deeper than keywords, comment markers, and
colors for existing definitions seems to require modifying that source code.

I did find something interesting looking at someone else's "userDefineLang.xml"
(generated by the User-Define Language tool in NPP) here's an excerpt --- notice
the "Keywords name='Operators'" and "Keywords name='Folder+'" etc. Maybe it's
possible to add something like this to langs.xml to extend existing definitions?
But how to define that something within something else = an existing type?
I dunno. It may not be possible.
---------------------
This was for "GScript2"
            <Keywords name="Delimiters">"'0"'0</Keywords>
            <Keywords name="Folder+"></Keywords>
            <Keywords name="Folder-"></Keywords>
            <Keywords name="Operators">( ) , . : ; [ ] { }</Keywords>
            <Keywords name="Comment">1/* 2*/ 0//</Keywords>
            <Keywords name="Words1">function return break if public with for
while do case default switch else enum const in continue class</Keywords>
            <Keywords name="Words2">true false null nil NULL new</Keywords>
            <Keywords name="Words3">echo triggeraction length size sleep index
pos type = == && || != ! ? @ @= < > <= =< >=
=></Keywords>
            <Keywords name="Words4"></Keywords>

--------------------

I was actually wrong, on the PHP thing, though. It does mark string variables
inside of heredocs as "default" text (even though it should probably mark them
as "string variable"), but, oh well. I misunderstood - not everything between
curly brackets is interpreted by PHP as a string var, but only when there is
a curly bracket + variable, ie {$foo} or ${foo}, but not {foo()} as I thought.
{foo()} is actually invalid syntax in a string or heredoc.

Follow-up explanation:

I found that this only happens on the Notepad++ V5.0.3 Portable Edition.
Another Trojan appears to be in the temp file e.g. \Temp\nsy1C3.tmp whiel I
am working in Notepad++
Here a Trojan.Win32Agent. muq is being displayed in my virus.utilities.
Regards C. Kuit

Here's a message that will explain why you shouldn't just come in and ask for
something... without first exploring if it has been requested or discussed
before.
It will make these forums more efficient to find useful messages and
information.
You'll understand why I do not just copy the contents of the message here.

You may also read the complete thread. It contains some good reasoning, but
next to that, there are also parts you best ignore in my opinion.

"simple but very important features missing" (Help forum)
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=2028991&forum_id=331754

For the sake of convenience I post this very same message in similar threads
on three Notepad++ forums. Of course, it's my policy not to do so normally.

Sorry but this must not be released as a final.

Two showstoppers:

---------------------------
Bug: Can't associate extensions.

In 5.1b UNICODE I can't associate new extensions in Preferences -> File
Association
dialog.
After adding extention (.txt for example), it is added to the list but after
N++ restart it is gone.

I've monitored what happens with Process Monitor and it looks like N++ tries
to change registry value to Notepad[square] (square being probably badly encoded
++ sign) but fails to do that so old value is still there.

Works fine in ANSI version.
---------------------------

---------------------------
Bug: FtpSynchronize plugin does not upload file on save

1. Connect to ftp
2. Double click file in ftp listing to open
3. Edit
4. Save

What happens: File is not uploaded back to server.

Reproduced both in ANSI and UNICODE versions.
---------------------------

FtpSynchronize bug is because of these lines:

if (BufferID != NULL) {
  SendMessage(nppData._nppHandle,NPPM_GETFULLPATHFROMBUFFERID,(WPARAM)BufferID,(
LPARAM)openFile);

NPPM_GETFULLPATHFROMBUFFERID returns just filename instead of full path.

Here is diff to previous version:
http://npp-plugins.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/npp-plugins/NppPlugins/FTP_synchro
nize/src/FTP_synchronize.cpp?r1=1.44&r2=1.45

Before it just did this to get path:
  SendMessage(nppData._nppHandle,NPPM_GETFULLCURRENTPATH,0,(LPARAM)openFile);

I hope in 5.1 the problem with search and replacement in all files will be
precisely
corrected?
