HI!
Id like to make my own language highlighting, but I have a problem with the
comments. If there is a "*" a the beginning of the line, the whole line is a
comment. If there is a "!" somewhere in the line the following text is a comment
until the line ends. How can I tell this Notepad++? There is no special
end-of-comment-letter.
I tried \n and \n\r for the carriage return but it doesnt work.
Somebody an idea?

Reading your request, I searched for messages containing the words output and
RTF. Did you?
This gave 5 results (now probably 6). One of the messages is in a thread about
what you ask for.

Did you scan the headlines on this forum's opening page for similar problems?
Which search terms did you use to find any other messages about this problem?
Let me challenge you: using two words appearing in the title of your message
you can easily find a lot of similar messages, and answers.

Text disappear: can be fixed/prevented, and I will try to, but this does seem
to be a little bug in scintilla.
Caret blinking rate bug: fixed in next release
Caret fully or partially disappearing: I doubt notepad++ can prevent that, the
caret position is scintilla's job
save dialog comes up wrongly positioned: Might be worth looking into
mouse text selection bug: cant reproduce it myself, but its probably scintilla
since scintilla does that
auto-indent anomalous behavior: often complained aobut, it jsut how it works.
The autoindent plugin I wrote uses a different method, try that one.
3rd mouse button panning feature missing: hard to implement, and more like
scintilla's job (I think its even in their TODO but im not sure)
display filename only in window title: very valid FR, I'll ask Don, should be
rather easy to implement, its just that the preference GUI is getting a bit
cramped nowadays, imo :P
