The current vertical tabs option simply rotates the entire tab bar and draws
all the tabs vertically.
I propose drawing the tabs horizontally such that in vertical mode it is a list
of tab labels, similar to how the Windows Taskbar looks if you drag it to one
of the sides of your screen.

I don't think anyone should waste their time implementing that.

I was trying to set or to find these 2 functions in notepad++ :
1. Auto-completing TAGS, BRACKETS and FUNCTIONS.
Examples:
a) When I write first bracket < it will automatically complete it to <> . And
the same with " and " " .
b) When I write tag <b> it will autamticaly write tag </b> at the end.
c) When I push CTRL+B, CTRL+I, CTRL+U... it will automaticaly add tag <b></b>
, <i> </i> and <u></u>
d) When I write in table "cell" it will automaticaly show me the list with
cellpadding and cellspacing. I think realy AUTOMATICALY, not with CTRL+SPACE.
2. DEFAULT HEADERS.
Examples:
a) When I create new document and save it as html, notepad++ should to add
default
xhtml header which I can edit somewhere...
These 2 function are missing in notepad++ for me. I couldn't find them in
settings
or in plugins. Thank you.

notepad++ 5.0.3 crashes on nfo files for me...100% cpu and no response. Strange
thing is; if I change the extension of a nfo file from .nfo to .txt there is
no problem at all?
Any idea what's happening?

Dear All,
I found npp almost hang up the OS when I open .rtf file. I can open it with
notepad just 1 second, msword 2 seconds, npp hours...
NPP is also very, very slow to read large size log files comparing to notepad,
write.exe. I hope someone can fix it. (don't load the full doc to memory, read
when you need. (optional for large file, > 1 G ))
Thanks.

I have a question regarding PHP syntax highlighting. It seems like it only works
when PHP code is enclosed in start/end tags (<?php ... ?>). Is this by design
or can I turn it off somehow? I'm working with external tool that generates
PHP code parts without start/end tags
