If so, forward the port, see the manual for more info, each router is different. Firewalls block it too. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Is there any way to adjust a setting in notepad++ that automatically creates a new line of comments when you are typing? I ask this because in MATLAB if you indicate you are typing a comment by the % key, when you reach the 72nd column, it creates a new line below it with another % sign in front of it so that you don't need to hit enter and then another % when ever you get to the 72nd column. I'd really like to figure this out, due to the fact that i can only use MATLAB at school and I like notepad ++ better than MATLAB's built in script editor. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Sure, it's normal and accettable for portability to write to registry's keys like "LastVisitedMRU", "MRUList", "MUIcache", etc.). Test (step by step): 1-Downloaded the zip version 2-Extracted to a folder (on fresh installed winxp pro sp3) 3-Regshot first shot 4-Doubleclick on notepad++.exe (unicode version) to open the program. 5-Then "Settings"->"Preferences..." 6-Check "Small icons" and uncheck "Show Status Bar", then click on "Close" 7-Exit the program Notepad++ 8-Regshot second shot and then "Compare": here the Reshot's log: Keys added:4 ---------------------------------- HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Notepad++_file HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Notepad++_file\shell HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Notepad++_file\shell\open HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Notepad++_file\shell\open\command ---------------------------------- Value added:2 ---------------------------------- HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Notepad++_file\shell\open\command\: ""F:\Programming\npp.5.1\notepad++.exe" "%1"" HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Notepad++_file\: "Notepad++ Document" Thanks for the great program. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. How do I define a special coloring for multi-line strings? 2. Can I use the User Define dialog to see what the settings are for C++, Java, etc.? Unfortunately, the "user language" drop-down box doesn't let me choose such languages. 3. Sadly, I don't see where Notepad++ stored the information about the new language settings I defined. Where are the files that contain this information, or how do I make sure that I can copy that information from one computer to another? 4. Finally, is there a way to search this forum? I hope I didn't miss something obvious, but I couldn't find a way. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
