Ex. search for <begin restrict="0">2009-01-08</begin> returns 622 tokens. I need to search where <begin restrict="0"> does not equal 2009-01-08</begin>. Is there a way to do this? FYI.....still new to Notepad++. Thanks! ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Found bug in Explorer (UNI): Context menu "Add to Favorites" for a drive root (not a folder) = crash...but it can be added manually...though not through the UI, only by typing in. One easy, yet invaluable feature request, if i may. (this will make my life, and hopefully others', much easier): Add the ability to replace the top pane with Favorites instead of Explorer...and keep the bottom pane as-is - displaying contents of the selected favorites location. Having favorites in a different tab makes it very inconvenient to use - i have 9 drives, and i need to use only the last one in the list, so most of the space is wasted and never used. I can add the drive to favorites which filters out anything i dont need...the ability to just click the favorite and see the content below would be ideal and efficient. Please implement. regards, Leon ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I also experienced one serious crash that resulted in data dump, I wrote ( and then saved and crash. Could it be that above problems are initiated by saving? Is there any way I could help you guys to trace the crashes, like with crash inspector IIXII etc.? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. From what I find this was taken out and I would like to have them as an option. I get confused quite easily as N++ is the only app that uses different icons. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. In regular expression mode in either Find dialog (Ctrl+F or the advanced Ctrl+R) you can search for the pattern below. Find field: <begin restrict="0">\d\d\d\d-\d\d-\d\d</begin> This will find all patterns with a (similar or the same) date. It's a bit more difficult to exclude the particular date 2009-01-08 from these results immediately. I don't believe this is possible in Notepad++. You may use the Text FX features to restrict you search results, however. Copy the pattern in the Find field. Be aware not to copy the space characters added automatically at the end of the line on this webpage. Menu_____ : TextFX Submenu__ : TextFX Viz Settings Option___ : +Viz Text Search Regex Check this option. You may have to check it again (check it out) and then finally check if it is finally checked. Now you can use the Find field in the clipboard to show only lines that match. Menu_____ : TextFX Submenu__ : TextFX Viz Option___ : Hide Lines without (Clipboard) text This will leave you facing only lines with the specified pattern and possibly one line at the top not matching. This is a small bug. You can now copy the date 2009-01-08 to the Clipboard and hide all lines containing this date. Menu_____ : TextFX Submenu__ : TextFX Viz Option___ : Hide Lines with (Clipboard) text You can now copy all those lines to paste and use and/or edit them in another document. Press Ctrl+A to select all (including invisible) lines. Menu_____ : TextFX Submenu__ : TextFX Viz Option___ : Copy Visible Selection But wait... What do you want to do with those lines? If you only want the perform some action on those specific lines, there may be an easier way to exclude the other lines. You could replace the lines with the >2009-01-08< date first by replace that date (perhaps including part of the code before and after it) by some distinct identifier like >#excludethese#<. After changing all remaining lines matching the pattern, you could change the distinct identifier back to the original date of >2009-01-08<. Sit back and smile for a while. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
