Hi - Does anyone know how to change the default save and open from
C:\ProgramFiles\Notepad++ to an actual directory i might be using? - This drives
me crackers as every time i want to save something i have to trawl though loads
of directories on a seperate drive as it defalts to the above.

1) The options are in the main menu under Format
2) It already is visible? Probably jsut not what you'd expect. Unix means LF,
MAC means CR and Windows means CRLF.

Its a known issue, which coincidentally has shown up in the past few weeks.
The patch for it is being reviewed, hopefully in the next release its fixed.

Okay, never mind I fixed it by downloading more fonts.
"sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts"
and all was fixed :)

You were using the Compare plugin. It worked with ANSI versions, but it doesn't
with the new Unicode one. Sooner or later, it will be converted so that it can
work with the new Unicode version; in the meanwhile, you can use the ANSI
version,
which means that you have to download the .zip file (not the executable,
self-installing one!) and use that. The Compare plugin should be in the same
archive. I suggest to keep downloading ANSI versions until all the plugins you
like have been converted.
Also, it might be a good idea to install the ANSI version in a different folder,
or to backup the old folder or at least the configuration files (the .xml ones).

It will be fixed in the next release. Mind you, there is currently a hard limit
of the amount of extensions, they cant total to more than 260 characters
