It cannot find words containing the danish chars ?,? or ?. The problem is in UTF-8 encoded files and in N++ 5.0 or higher. I hope someone will look into this. It is annoying that I have to use several versions of N++ to get the job done. At first I could use the plug-in (2-3 times), but prety soon Notepad++ started to crash every time I would try to use Hex Editor. I have a file opened, and the moment I click on Hex Editor - Notepad++ crashes. The problem is not as described in http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=2199362&forum_id=331754 because I don't start npp in compatibility mode. I use Windows XP, SP2. Thanks in adcance for help. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. It is simple and easy to use. All you have to do is this: 1> Navigate to Plugins -> NppExec -> Execute. [Default Shortcut key is F6] 2> In the new popup window, type this cmd /c cd "$(CURRENT_DIRECTORY)" && "%JAVA_HOME%\bin\javac" "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)" 3> Click on "Save" and give it a name say "Java Compile". 4> Bingo. You are there. Now any file you are editing a Java file in NPP and you want to compile it, press F6 and choose this script "Java Compile". It will compile the Java class for you. This is irrespective of which directory you are in. This plugin can be used to execute any executable as you would from a command prompt. Currently im using it to compile C, C++ and Java. For running the compiled Java class, the script is: cmd /k cd "$(CURRENT_DIRECTORY)" && "%JAVA_HOME%\bin\java" "$(NAME_PART)" && exit Hope this helps, Re, Sam P.S Remember to set the JAVA_HOME environment variable. To check if it is set, open a command prompt and type java. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
