Both Function List and Notepad++ are open source projects, it means that the
developers make their work available freely for you. If you want to trade your
time to make things better, you are welcome, otherwise stop bitching, use
another
product.

Hi

I often paste text from Microsoft Word and I want to "convert" it to plain,
ASCII text - that means converting smart quotes (single and double) to plain
' and " and doing the same for long dashes ellipsis etc.

Is there any function in N++ that will do this for me automatically?

Thanks

Thanks to both of you, I am aware of those techniques, but that was not what
I was looking for. Maybe I'll have to write my own plugin... "Go to last" is
a really useful functionality.

I recently installed Notepad++ 5.1 on a new computer (XP-SP3) and the "advanced
replace"-dialog no longer works. When I press Ctrl-R all I get ist a
white-on-black
"(DC2)" in the text... I just rechecked on my old computer (n++ 5.0.3) and it
works...

Any ideas?

Hello all together,
first of all a big THANK YOU to all the developers of NP++. Its such a nice
Program with all its features. Because of that I want to use it to program PLCs
(Programmable Logic Control) with NP++. The Language I want to define is very
similar to Pascal.

I have the wendys problem too.

Another problem with the comment is, that in the User Defined Language the
comment
Symbols don't seam to have the highest priority in text.
Example:
Comment Line Symbol is // (like in C++)

MyVar := 0x100 // marked as a comment all the time
MyVar := 0x100 //marked as a comment when "Treat keyword as Symbol" is checked
MyVar := 0x100// never marked as a comment (no space between code and begin
of comment)

this is only the case if the language is a user defined language

Are there any solutions to those problems??

Does anybody know why the User Defined Languages are implemented differently
to the languages that come along with NP++?

I also tried to edit the stylers.model.xml, langs.xml and langs.model.xml to
implement my language. But it does not appear in NP++

Best Regards

Jochen

You're right.
It works for me too. The effect occurs when I'm editing a *.h.
I suggest just to include *.c into the "*.h *.hpp *.hxx *.cpp *.cxx
*.cc"-filter,
or to give every user the possibility to edit those filters...

Currently TextFX is missing from the Unicode 5.1 (textfx provides that dialog).
Either revert to 503 or download the 5.1 binary and copy the contents of the
ANSI folder into the notepad++ installation (however, do not extract
doLocalConf.xml
if it is not already present in your installation).
