Hi.

Ctrl+Shift+B to select the text between pairs of brackets ( ) still appears
to be broken.

I downloaded the bin file and then tried the respective notepad.exe file in
the ANSI and UNICODE folders.

For the longest time I was using the .zip installation for notepad++. When
upgrading
all I would do is just move the FTP_synchronize.ini file over and I would have
all my connection data. I have decided to move to the .exe installer. Where
can I find the FTP_synchronizeA.ini for the .exe installation so I can replace
the information with what I currently have?

Hi everybody,
I am getting a similar application error in 5.0.3 and I using Windows XP
and it occurs when I am closing/Exiting N++

The error says, the instruction at "0x0106101f" referenced memory at
"0x0106101f".
The memory could not be "read"

I am posting a screenshot that error at this link
http://www.flickr.com/photos/33390...@n07/3110670913/

This error occurs pretty often, is it caused by some plugin? and I have
downloaded
these plugins Function List (Ver 2.0 Alpha) , NppExec (Ver 0.25 R2),
Explorer(Ver
1.7.3) and XML Tools

Thanks
Ash

Hi again,
I think I found the culprit (plugin) who was causing the "0x0106101f"
application
error, I deleted/moved each plugin from the plugin folder to test if I am still
getting the error and found that removing the XML Tools plugin stopped that
error.

Thanks again,
Ash

1. In the shortcutmapper, look under Scintilla and find the home key, replace
it with nothing and add it to any of the other home key behaviours.
(set item 61 to nothing, and item 51 to home)
2. In the plugins menu you'll find nppautoindent, turn it off there.

Just upgraded my 5.0.3 N++ to 5.1.2 using the installer and I get an error
message
on startup:

...Notepad++\plugins\XMLCheck.dll

This ANSI plugin is not compatible with your Unicode Notepad++.

This plugin is not compatible with current version of Notepad++.

Do you want to remove this plugin from plugins directory to prevent this message
from the next launch time?

Pressing "Yes" results in an endless loop displaying the message over and over.
Pressing "No" brings up another plugin problem XMLTools.dll. "No" twice
eventually
gets you into N++ but brings up the message on next startup. This is really
annoying. I moved both plugins out of the plugin directory and N++ starts up
without errors. Can we get a better installer script that properly removes old
plugins on upgrades and somehow manages to inform the user about the changes?

Bob.

>From the wiki FAQ:
Those xml files (except langs.xml , doLocalConf.xml and asNotepad.xml which
should be always in Notepad++'s installed folder) are loaded from
%AppData%\Notepad++
or Notepad++'s installed folder, it depends respectively on the absence or
presence
of doLocalConf.xml in Notepad++'s installed folder.

In other words, try the other directory then the one you used, you probably
have a duplicate file.

At first this feature could be optional/disabled for people who like to control
everything. :)

Second you never loss your information.
If document is not stored manually it placed in some temp directory.

If you decide to close new document tab then document file can be removed
(optionally).

Target of this is information safety and convenience (to prevent additional
manual operations).
