I have to write something on a new tab and close it without saving. I have to be sure that npp does this without trace on the hard drive. Can I rely on npp ? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Open langs.xml in C:\Program Files\Notepad++\ (or wherever you installed N++) and search for "pascal." The second result should be the line containing Pascal's default extensions. Remove "inc," reopen N++, set "inc" as an HTML user extension once more and you're all done. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Clicking ok displays another dialog "ERR: Can not open file "xyz", where xyz is the file path. Notepad opens it ok though. I know that I can use Notepad/Wordpad, but I want the Notepad++ features, even with large files. I'm at version 5.1.3. Thanks. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Even when dealing with relatively small files in the multi-megabyte range, editing becomes so slow it's more or less unusable. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Is there a configuration option so that Notepad++ can be set to use the same proxy as configured in IE/Firefox? Or even its own proxy configuration section. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I installed the latest vesion 5.1.3 plus XMtools and NPP complains that the libraries for xmltools are not compatible. Then Installed npp 4.9.2 with xmltools 2.3.1 r639 and I am getting other incompatibility errors. It seems these program are very dependent on certain versions. So which version of npp and which version of xmltools play well together with the external libraries? All I need is an xml formatter. From the messages I read, xmltools seems to be the plugin I need. Is there any other extensions which just works? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. However, I'm puzzled at the fact that it's (apparently) impossible to create a macro that automates search and replaces (more precisely, I need a macro that will eliminate all tabs in a document). How is it possible that such a highly touted text editor can't allow creating a simple macro that preform a task as basic as Search & Replace? If you know of a way, please let me know... ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
