There might be special characters or formatting in your ascii file that has
trouble opening in the utf-8 format Notepad++ somehow...

Then use the ascii version, I think...

Hi, I'm not having much luck getting Notepad ++ to show code as it is shown
here in this example:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=__Wri6VtXXU&feature=channel_page
(basically a black background with coloured text)

I've tried standard Notepad ++ and Programmers Notepad without any success.
I know this can be configured manually a color at a time, but I'm really
looking
for something preconfigured or even importing a style file which I have.

I'm failing to see how/where to use Notepadd ++ to affect this change - though
I'm sure it's there. Any help/pointers much apreciated.

regards. Sean

You cna use the styler configurator, to change a color at a time, or look at
the download section of the main website and search for styler files (near the
bottom)

Thanks but it doesn't really solve my problem - I'll try and explain:

I download a pre made style and call the file stylers.model - which overwrites
what I believe is the same named style file in the root folder - but I still
cannot see one/any new style in my style configurator Language or Style List
- do you know where should I be looking to find the new styles that I've
(hopefully)
overwritten? I've restated Notepad ++ but with no change.

thanks. Sean

I meant ^

Find what: ^
Replace with: del

Like if I had a long list of files and want to delete them, or for NSIS 'Delete
"$INSTDIR\'.
Holding down Enter after using Replace once also works.

I love NP++ but it would be great to have a way that documents opened in "normal
text" language could be indented (as would be useful in the case of a to do
list). I'd love to figure this out if anyone has any pointers.

Example:
- buy groceries
____ milk
____ bread
- buy electronics
____ speakers

Could collapse to:
+ buy groceries
- buy electronics
____ speakers

(where _ represent spaces and +/- represent the icons in the fold margin)

That's a common problem, look in %APPDATA%/Notepad++

I looked all over but couldn't find an option to use a simple window switcher
order.

I want it to just go to the next tab on the tab bar, not the most recently used.
Is there a way to turn off the most recently used option? And perhaps that
window switcher display box, so it just flips right away without having to let
go?

I attempted to search these forums, but couldn't find a search feature...
