A couple words about command line.
I discovered that Notepad++ unfortunately doesn't support files with Unicode
names. It means that the software wouldn't find file if it's name contains at
least one symbol which isn't contained in Windows' default code page. NP++
replaces
all these symbols and suggests to create file with that name.
For example, the default code page for programs that don't support Unicode is
Russian. Then NP++ will fail to open files with central european names like
"Caf? Pass?.htm"

Is there a way to use n++ search for all text between "/*" and "*/"?
Moreover, is it possible to search for all text starting with "--" to the end
of the line?
In short, I'm trying to find a way to remove comments from SQL/PLSQL code ...

I'm using Notepad++ 5.2 Unicode version.
When I open 2 text files in 2 tabs.
First tab, I go to end of document. And I go to second tab. Back to first tab,
the position of scrollbar is not end of document.

Hi All
I am reading .wer files (Windows Error Reporting) into Notepad++ when I Open
each file in between each character there is a NUL character. Is there someway
of getting this into a more readable format?
I have tried to use Find and Replace but I can't put in the NUL character.
Any ideas?
If you want one to play with they can be found on a PC running Vista:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\

This only appears to happen when using UTF-8 encoding. When I switched to ANSI,
the entire line was displayed without garbling.

However, this only looks for text on a SINGLE line
e.g. /* abc */
What if I want to search across multiple lines? e.g.
