Would like to delete entries in "Find what" list in "Find" dialog window. After searching for dozens of word/expressions, this list is absolutely useless, because you will not find words used already. There are just too many entries. Also everybody using same computer will see this list of searched words/expressions, which also sometimes is not useful. Have a nice day Jo ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I can only change the tab size globally. I also, would dearly love to have this option. Another editor I used before notepad++ claimed to have this feature, but it didn't work. At least here, it's obvious it's global... ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I tend to use Notepad++ (latest unicode version) with hidden menu bar to gain extra space but as I see several plugins (e.g. Window Manager) don't support it, i.e. not able to show their dockable windows. (If I unhide the menu bar, start the plugin and hide it again, the plugin keeps working.) I found one exception, the FTP_synchronize Plugin (v0.9.6.1) from Harry, it works perfect with hidden menu bar. Could anyone help me? I'd gladly make changes myself to the source of my favourite plugins to support hidden menu bar, but I don't know where to start. Thanks, cocinerox ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Sometimes everything is fine, and then FTP_Synchronize will not completely download one of the files I want to edit. Unless I look closely at the queue, I won't noticed that the file is incomplete. More than once, I've saved over a file with the incomplete version that FTP_Synchronize provided me, thereby corrupting it irrepairably. I got a good backup plan, so there's no real damage, but still, it's very annoying. FTP_Synchronize shouldn't allow incomplete files to be displayed and edited. It makes the whole process rather risky. FTP_Synchronize version 0.9.6.1 Notepad++ version 5.2 ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I'm also fairly new to N++ (January this year) and had similar feelings to you about the documentation that is available. In February I put out call for expressions of interest in working on documentation (https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=6562419). We weren't overwhelmed with people contacting us but we have continued to work on a review of all N++ documentation. We will be publishing our plans for the way forward shortly. So stay tuned and if you'd like to be involved please contact me at 'gr3gw at users.sourceforge.net' (replacing the at with the usual). ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. For example: I have a bunch of lines. I would like to alt-select a single column. Then have whatever I type happen to all lines selected. select x.a ,x.b ,x.c ,x.d from x zzz ; turns into: select abc.a ,abc.b ,abc.c ,abc.d from x abc ; I know, that can be done using a replace, or even Alt+C, but both are clumsy. I have recently been using SourceEdit, and it handles this functionality very well. Anything you type happens to all lines of the column-mode selection. The above could be accomplished simply by holding in Alt+click on x, drag to the ., drag down to the line with d, then typing "abc" on the keyboard. If I do that in N++, I wind up with the letter c.a, c.b, c.c, c.d. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
