Inside Notepad++'s installed folder there is no config.xml, so it must be the one from %AppData%\Notepad++. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I started notepad++ and close it. Now inside the installation folder a config.xml was created. I opened the config.xml in notepad (not ++) and dlgAlwaysVisible has the value "no". I don't modify anything and don't save the file. Now I open Notepad++ again and open any file. I press CTRL+F and do search. I thought when dlgAlwaysVisible is "no" the search dialog (CTRL+F) should close when I press enter and the first match is found. But it definitely doesn't. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. NPPN_FILEBEFOREOPEN is a notification sent by Notepad++ to notify plugins a file is about to be opened. > I had thought about using it for filtering SCN_MODIFIED messages while a > document > loading flag was set, but the BEFORE isn't before the SCN_MODIFIED. Yes. Notepad++ use this mechanism to filter SCN_MODIFIED by setting a flag "isFileOpening" before sending NPPN_FILEBEFOREOPEN and after sending NPPN_FILEOPENED. That does the trick > Is the message intended to be after the modified notification? This notification is not related with SCN_MODIFIED, sent by Scintilla. At that point, I rename it to avoid deletion, then go back to installer and click Ok. When installer completes, I go to explorer again and restore the name of the dll. On opening N++, the plugin does display the function list I expect for displayed file and, on switching to another, updates the list as expected. One interesting side effect: I had reported that, under 5.1, callling tips for the function list were displayed in the wrong place, like they didn't have the right parent window. This issue no longer happens in 5.3. What problem are you facing? I really like the plugin. It reminds me of the Clip Library function of good old TextPad. A UNICODE version would be much appreciated. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Can I turn on an option that gives me a gridlike view? A bit like Excel but the first position should be Line 1, Column 1. Is this possible to set up, and if so how? Thanks in advance. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
