Most records are fine, but a few, those members with lengthy comment fields, have returns that carry through into the CSV,.. making for a lot of hand cleaning before I can do anything with the file. basically, I think I am looking to delete all 'line returns' where the start of the next line is not a: ` Any easy way to do this? I can provide the field list (top line of the file) to anyone who is interested. Many thanks in advance, Rob ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Perhps, adding the ability to use ctrl-tab/ctrl-shift-tab to move between the open files? Then it would surely be a replacement for the built-in switcher. Thanks, and nice job! almostautomated ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. This problem have been posted in the forums several times (also by myself) and a bug request was opened as well. Flash's actionscript files are used with the extension of "as" (and not mx as is it defined in the langs.xml). The BUG is - when you open an "as" file to be edit in npp, npp doesn't recognize it as a flash actionscript file. However, I've found that npp recognize it as a "Haskel" file. I run some checks and found that the "as" extension is also associated with this "Haskel" language as well. Now, in order for npp to recognize the "as" files as flash when it opened (and not do it manually), I did the following steps: 1. I opened the "langs.xml" file. 2. Searched for Haskel language. 3. Erased the "as" extension from the Haskel language and it fixed this problem. I hope it will helps for all those who use npp for flash actionscript amongst the other languages as well. Thanks. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. When I add bookmark and them document update, for example, from svn, all bookmarks indicate to wrong line. I have not watched source code, but i think that bookmark store line position, rather than on context in the line. I've been looking for a good MVC (specifically for RoR) and e-texteditor looked nice, then cygwin came in scene and everything went screwed. So I came to the safety and wonder of my beloved npp, there's just one feature I miss (QuickText is a must-have plugin!!), that is Open model, or Open view or Open controller actions. I'd like to request you c++ guys (if you have the time) can you do a plugin to do this? Basic rules: - To "open model": -- check current opened file is not a model (under /models folder) -- check current text selection if it is a Camelcased string (like "User"), search for User.rb from models folder. -- if not text selected or not Camelcased, check for current filename, if like "users_controller.rb", open User.rb from models -- if not _controller, check if current file is under views folder, if it is, check the parent folder name (/views/user/view.html.rb) and open User.rb from models -- if not, do nothing - To "open controller" -- check current opened file is not a controller(under /controllers folder) -- check for current filename, if like "users.rb" and under /models, open user_controller.rb from controllers (maybe some plural inflections could be added in settings) -- if not under models, check if current file is under views folder, if it is, check the parent folder name (/views/user/view.html.rb) and open user_controller.rb from controllers (and it would be terrific if the cursor can be positionated in "def view", that is the actual method that calls the view) -- if not, do nothing - To "open view" -- This will be only valid from controllers (files under /controllers) -- check for current position of cursor, and find the most near "def something" string from cursor to top (bottom-to-top find), if that "something" is available at "/views/controller_name/something.html.rb" open it, if not do nothing. controller_name can be parsed from current opened filename. I hope anyone with the skills have the time and willing to work on something like this, this can be a AnyEditorKiller! Thanks and sorry for my bad english. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. As far as i got it: - There is a automatic word-wrapping Function, but it doesn't physically insert "/n"s to the File, it's just altering how the file is displayed. - TextFX has the possibility to manually cut a selected Text at column 72 or X (-> clipboard) But: Is there any Function like word wrap that really inserts a newline after a number of columns specified? I've searched for hours but it seems like there just is no such function, did i just overlook it? There are several threads that are about a auto-word wrap function, do they all talk of the function I already found or is this function i am looking for somewhere? Normally this is a standard fuction and I can't imagine that such a powerful tool can't do such simple things. ;) Thanks a lot for your help, CreepingD ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I am considering this since a long time. We can do this based on Favorites Dialog. I can shrink the project to create a base project.
