But when I execute "tlist notepad++", the sys says there is no such program or internal command (I am using "traditional Chinese" version of WinXP pro, so the message is just a translation). Also I have tried "list notepad++" and the result is the same. However, mine windows has just been refreshed in less than 10 days, so I am pretty sure there is only one NP++ were installed, and its version is 5.3.1. A strange thing is, I have 2 pc both are using NP++ v5.3.1, and the other one runs NP++ under WinXP pro pretty good so far. Anyway thanks for your kind help. Also, I have searched and found that the change log of NP++ v4.71 had a listed change, Make the "recovery system" for 3 mandatory xml files (config.xml, langs.xml and stylers.xml) to prevent the fail loading due to the corrupted files. Anyone can tell me how to apply this "FUNCTION" ? Btw, Just for a reference, mine problem PC is using AMD Athlon 1600+ 512M memory with WinXP pro. Does anyone have met the same problem before? My only observation is, what slows me down a bit, that when I want to comment out a line and use CTR-k, the program does not do anything, only if I highlight a piece of text within the line. Is it possible to have this feature on a line where the cursor is, without doing extra highlighting? I find myself frequently wheel scrolling while I still have the Ctrl key pressed from a previous operation, resulting in zooming in / out in the text, which is rather annoying. I've looked around in the menus and online, and I've not found anything to disable this feature. Is there a way to actually do this? If not, that would be quite appreciated in a future release. thanks, joce. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. By the way how is the file encoded? (plain ASCII, UTF-16, anything else) - you'll see it immediately 2/ running a validation tool on the file in case some bracketing might have gone wrong? Again, start and end of files are the expected places of interest. I assume there has not been any manual edit of the file that might have introduced unintended issues in random places in the middle of the file. Oh, and what happens if you back up langs.xml on the "good" machine, replace with the file from the "bad" one and launch N++? Or the other way round? As many posts here and on the Open Discussion forum show, lots of desired custom language definitions can't be completely handled by the User Defined Language system. There has to be an external lexer for your language, probably adapting an existing one. Some standard features would ideally creep in LexUser.cxx and be reflected in the UDL panel, but this is not exactly a one liner fix in N++. One of various 800x600 glitches. And the way the scroll bar responds to muse wheel is not too subtle, jumping to bottom or top. You must either drag the thumb or repeatedly click the arrows for finer control. When I hit F6, I can use commands to change directory and execute code such as: CD\My Documents Perl test.pl But I don't know how to change drive such as: D: CD\My Documents Perl test.pl The only alernative that I found was to create a .BAT file in the NPP directory and put the needed commands in there. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
