1. Hold down your Alt key, click and drag to create a "column mode selection"
2. Replace - fill in your search and replace, check to box that says "In
Selection"
3. Click on the replace all button.
not too difficult.

Yes, it is a joke. And an obvious one. But then I see sad things like: "What
difference does it make for a computer program that is most likely only used
periodically for short intervals?"
When I am doing initial development and testing, 90% of my computer time is
spent in Notepad++. While the greener comments are a joke, the program is not.
I bet you were one of those offended by the thong sale too.

I've been using version 5.1.4 for some time and it worked fine, then today the
auto-updater notified me of a new version (5.3.1) so I upgraded, and now the
menubar is unresponsive, they highlight but will not show menus, also it closes
unsaved documents without a save dialog.
I don't have time to search for a fix so I attempted to rollback to 5.1.4 and
the auto-updater pops up so I click no hoping it will allow me to continue using
the old version, however, it just exit the program.
I don't think the updater behaviour is really desirable, if I say no to an
upgrade
it should open the application.
I'll use another text editor for the time being and check back later.
I'm on Windows XP SP3 fully patched.

I tried to follow the steps given in the downloads section of the website.
However,
two of the directories listed don't exist in Windows Vista. I ran a search,
but that came up empty as well. Does anyone know which files I need to replace,
and in what order, to replace notepad with Notepad++ in Vista?
Thanks,
Terry

Hi.
I've defined some highlight I wish to share with my colleagues. In what file
it is stored. Do I need to backup that file before updating to future versions?
Thank you.
Alexander.
