Is there any way to hide all comments at once? Could be nice to have "CTRL+ALT+H" to hide them. Thanks, and keep it up! ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. If I have two files: 1) c:\www\htdocs\index.php 2) c:\www\templates\index.tpl Open notepad++ Open 1 Open 2 Switch active document to 1 Find In Files uses c:\www\htdocs Switch active document to 2 Expected: Find in Files uses c:\www\templates What I get: Find in Files uses c:\www\htdocs This is a rather small, but unexpected and annoying change in behaviour. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I've currently go 5.2 and it is not greyed out for me. Unfortunately however, I tried it and the in-selection counts all the lines selected as "in the selection" without restricting to just the columns so selected. Seems like a bug. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. People like me desperately need a "edit last post" feature... I assume there is one such file in your %APPPDATA%\Noteped++ folder, and none in the folder notepad++.exe is in. Open the file and search for the text "</Macros> " (without the quotes). If it is not found (which I doubt), then add after the opening < InternalCommands /> tag the two following lines: <Macros> </Macros> So now you have </Macros> on a line by itself, regardless of it being there prior. Above this line, insert the following: <Macro name="hang" Ctrl="yes" Alt="yes" Shift="no" Key="98"> <Action type="0" message="2464" wParam="5" lParam="0" sParam="" /> </Macro> Save and close shortcuts.xml . Open Notepad++. If wrap mode is not activated, activate it. Now execute the "hang" macro by either using the Macro menu or hitting Ctrl-Alt-NumPad2. Unless you want to modify those bindings prior. Now, any line that was wrapped has 5 chars of overhang indent. All secundary lines (ie those that result from wrapping) are affacted. If there was no wrapping line, then resize the window so as to reduce its width. On releasing the mouse, some (more) lines will wrap. If you execute the macro with word wrap off, and then turn word wrap on, the lines will wrap with your indent. If you used Notepad++ to edit shortcuts.xml, here is a gotcha: Notepad++ reads shortcuts.xml only once when it opens. As a result, your changes, and the new macro, will show up when you close and then restart N++. I haven't tried playing with multiple instances. Still doesn't work? The nly workaround I see atm is to put all line comment blocks inside a folding pair, and then fold those pairs. For instance, in C++: {//This block hides comments //this is a comment //this is yet another comment ;} This is valid code for the compiler (leave the semicolon out if needed), and will fold to the first line, which remains visible: {// This block hides comments One thing I'd apreciate is an option to search text outside comments and strings. But this could be too much to ask for a text editor, N++ is not an IDE. By default, F3 maps to Find next and Shift-F3 maps to Find previous. Be sure to remap those before making the new assignments, unless you hardly ever use them. And it transitions though these (details omitted). Now, this works reasonably well as long as there is not too much carbon in some form, because there are physical limits to amounts that can be transformed in a given period of time. Otherwise, the flow of carbon is not as balanced as it should, and the general equilibrium changes - the so called greenhouse effect is such a sign. Too much carbon in some form will cause difficulties for the others. This is why, since human activity releases quite a lot of carbon, mainly as gases, the amount of emissions has to be kept in check. Note that circumstances like massive volcanism would make this point rather moot.
