Np, I've actually moved to Eclipse for a while as the main DE and fortunately
one can run as many times just by ONE key-press.
But what is the benefit of key-press over the shortcut command?

I have a problem with saving large text files (~200 000 lines). After clicking
"save" the file with all content immediately appears on the hard drive, but
N++ seems to hang for another 5-8 minutes before it gives any response.
I use version 5.3.1 (unicode)
Any solutions for that?

If Notepad++ crashes when two views are open such that two documents are visible
at the same time, and the view is set with the divider being horizontal, on
reopening Notepad++ the documents are reversed, so the one that was on top is
now on the bottom. To reproduce it's sufficient to open two documents one below
the other and kill Notepad++ with task manager, then reopen. I have the
'remember
the current session' preference set.

You are absolutely right that you shouldn't need to be changing more to use
a single plugin.

Here's what the problem is...
The 5.4RC already has the NppPlugin_ChangeMarker included with the zip, and
it is version 1.1.0. The version downloaded from the SkyDrive is version 1.0.0
( I will not be updating this until after 5.4 OR comes out ).
So, when I was saying to delete/rename the existing NppPlugin_ChangeMarker.dll
and xpm files that already exist on your system and then place _just_ the dll
that is in the zip I am referring to the 5.4RC zip.
That should fix the problem. If not _please_ let me know.

Hello,
I'd like to see a dialog that asks to save the current session (currently open
files) when closing Notepad++. There's currently an option under
"Settings" -> "Preferences" -> "MISC" -> "Remember the current session for next
launch"
My proposal is to have a third option inbetween, that asks the user every time.
Who thinks this is a nice option, too?

Yes, please! The Edit menu is broken if an old localization file is used.
My usual method of using Resource Hacker (http://angusj.com/resourcehacker)
to find the IDs fails for this build. I've even browsed through the source
files,
but I'm afraid I am not good enough at C++ to find what I need.

I dropped 5.4 on my Windows 7 beta system and I'm getting strange behavior.
I'm getting an error about a mouse hook problem and when I enter keystrokes
I get weird characters entered, like ACK.
No problems like these with 5.3.1,
