Thanks a bunch, man! This time, the translation updates are really important.
If someone has an idea how the localization process can be coordinated better,

I only recently started using notepad++ and find it to be a very useful product.
I agree that the one thing I would like to see is some notification on the title
bar or status bar that the file I am currently reading/editing is set to "read
only" access. That saves head scratching when I cannot save the file and do
not immediately see the reason. I just upgraded to version 5.3.1 and was
disappointed
that this problem still exists.
Otherwise, I had no problems using Notepad++.

Someone mentioned this elsewhere but it doesn't seem to have been fixed: when
selecting "Open with Notepad++" in the Explorer context menu after
right-clicking
on a file, the status line at the bottom of the explorer windows shows random
characters (a bunch of CJK characters with some char-not-found boxes). Other
context-menu options properly display a description of their functions (copy
file, scan for viruses, etc). I've tried reinstalling and no joy.
Notepad++ 4.31, XP Pro SP3.
