At least Don could send us regular translators an e-mail notification when a
new RC version is ready for translation (not speaking about the updated
English.xml
file, I understand, that he has a lot of other things to do).

Not every time I have time to check the Notepad++ forum for news. That way an
up-to-date translation will be always included in the final version installator
and the users will not complain about the "incomplete" translation...

CCompletion 1.10 UNICODE for Notepad++ v5.3.1 UNICODE

What is CCompletion? See previous release notes:
https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5250569

What's new in 1.10:
 - rewritten to unicode

 - reduced memory usage and slight speedup

 - added support for library paths

 - added "go to line" functionality with history

 - some minor bug fixes

Here's an example of using library paths:
c:\someProject\src\
@c:\someLibrary\src\
@c:\anotherLibrary\src\
...

CCompletion will now display identifiers of both libraries within the project.
You can use this to add API headers, for example, although a lot of identifiers
may result in a bit more sluggish responsiveness.

I've rewritten the core completely. Hope not too many bugs made it through my
testing =P

Install the plugin by copying its .DLL file to Notepad++ \plugins\ directory.
You will also need to add in this directory the ctags.exe file, which you can
get here:
http://ctags.sourceforge.net

CCompletion download link:
http://freeweb.siol.net/rmihor/NppCCompletionPlugin.zip

Regards,
Bostjan

"Not every time I have time to check the Notepad++ forum for news."

>From what I understand the SourceForge phpBB hosted application for this
>project
is in the process of being setup ( although it looks like it is going very
slowly
) and phpBB has what are called 'groups' and these group can be mass mailed to.

So if a forum category is created for Tranlations, with forums for each
language,
with who ever usually does the tranlations for that language being a moderator
for that language, and is made a member of the Translators group it could be
mailed to as soon as an RC is ready.

almostautomated

Hopefully Chris or Greg ( whichever is taking on that role ) will make it
happen.
:)

I doubt that Don has the time to manage a translator mailing list. That's not
trivial, because translators come and go, as in most projects.
But at least in those cases where an outdated translation file can cause severe
display problems, an updated english.xml should be made available as early as
possible. An untranslated item here and there is not a problem, but a garbled
menu _is_. Imagine this kind of problem affecting the file menu next time it
occurs! Please don't get me wrong, I don't want to be offensive or something,
but a GUI item that does not do what it says is a major catastrophe in my
opinion,
especially when the average user has no clue why this strange behavior would
occur.
(It is not as bad as that in the present case, maybe I'm fussing too much about
it, but the same type of change in the file menu might end up destroying
people's
files, that's no fun at all.)

Hi!

I just want to point out that the setting "open/save directory" is not work
correctly in the current version (NP++ 5.3):

If I choose my job directory to be opened by default, NP++ always starts there
- nice feature so far.
But if I've just opened a file from a different directory (and maybe choosing
that dir took me some time), NP++ forgets this former directory and again starts
from the directory which I set in preferences window - this is really annoying!

Most software I know remembers a working directory to begin with after starting
the program - but after opening a file, the software remembers the directory
of the last opened file to continue from there - great deal.

Wouldn't it be nice, if Notepad++ would act the same way? That would save a
lot of file searching time, I think...

Greetings
Klaviator

Excellent. The present forum software sucks like hell, IMHO. phpBB is just
great.

With Don's blessing, an official irc channel has been registered on the Freenode
network for end user and plugin development support and discussion!

It is #notepad++ ( irc://irc.freenode.net:6667/notepad++ )

The channel is new and we need the support to make it strong, so if you have
an IRC client please come and idle ( or even talk :P ) !

Developers of plugins or people thinking about writing plugins are encouraged
to join the channel and get some well deserved recognition ( +V ).

AlmostAutomated took a good initiative to create this IRC channel - it will
be a way "on the fly" of Notepad++ support.

For those who want to do the supports, or to get the supports (or both), join
to this channel.

First, let me know, where did you look to find an answer?

Did you examine the Ctrl+F Find dialog in detail?

Do you know about the other Find dialog?

Did you search these forums to find an answer to your question?

The most simple SOLUTION is this:

Press Ctrl+Home to move to the top of the document.

Press Ctrl+R to open the Text FX advanced Find/Replace dialog.

In the Find field, enter the characters(tring) you want to replace, in your
case ", ".

In the Replace field, enter your linebreak by pressing Ctrl+Enter.

Find and replace all occurrences.
