I don't think so, it works fine in Unicode. You may have chosen not to install
plugins when you installed.

To add to the comments on where to find answers before posting: there is also
a wiki, which you can access from N++ using ? -> FAQ/Wiki.

Actually there is another wiki, supplied by SF, but this is work in progress
at the moment.

Check whether you have any Global Style -> Global Override settings set, and
unset them.

Indeed a great idea. I've been chatting with almostautomated for a while today
and learned at least two useful things in the process, for example about the
IdeaTorrent, the new place for feature requests:

The Settings -> Preferences -> New document/Open Save directory has a frame

DC2 fixed the "synchronise horizontal scrolling" issue, thanks.

But now, even after deleting NativeLang.xml, the Go to Next/Previous found
entries,
as well as Switch to found result (resp. bound to F4, Shift-F4 and F7) do not
appear in Search menu.

Until someone with Win7 starts debugging it, it likely wont change. I
understand
Win7 RC is going beta in May so maybe....

hi,

as far as i can see notepad ia unable to deal with iso-encodings like
iso-8859-15,
it is not possible to create the Euro-Symbol exept i use utf-8. Unfortunally
i have to work with old projects and different encodings. Is there any way to
teach notepad++ the iso-encodings?

thanks and regards, wende

Thanks to AlmostAutomated how helped me set up a development environment for
Notepad++ in using the chat. I will try to describe the steps below:

0. Use Visual C++ 2008 EE
1. Checkout the latest trunk
2. Open the PowerEditor visual.net vc.7.0.vcproj file
3. Add existing project to the solution, select SciLexer vcbuild 7.0 vcproj
file
4. Add dependency to PowerEditor (it should depend on SciLexer).
5. Add existing item to SciLexer called lexMySql.cxx.
6. Add existing item to PowerEditor/MISC called MiniDumper.cpp

Build! :)

If I've read correctly the post
at https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=3256525&forum_id=331753
I believe the only one that can give you an answer is currently deservedly on
vacation.
Until he's back - could you post it somewhere on the Net? I'd really like to
give the thing a test run...

Hi,

I think I know what the problem is, and I already fixed it. There was a bug
when finding results in binary files where the Null character (0x00) appears
in the middle of the line (before the \n character) where the result is found.

Thell Fowler - is it possible you're using the ANSI version of NPP?

Anyway, I'll need to speak with Don and see if I can commit the fix (but I think
he is on his vacation now).
