Should a bug be opened in the tracker for this, or is it already being taken
care of?

Here's an example. It needs be displayed in a proportional font to understand
my point. This forum doesn't do so, I think, so please copy it to your word
processor.
In this example I have replaced the spaces with points. The effect is exactly
the same, but less pronounced so when viewed in N++. The equal signs ought to
be aligned vertically, but they appear as a ragged line. The normal text is
in Courier, though:
ScenarioName............=."Conductance";
ModelFile...............=."..\ForGem\Forgem.def";
SystemName..............=."World";
OutputInterval..........=.25; <yr>
SimulationPeriod........=.300; <yr>

Well, let me finish this as a monologue, then...
By step by step changing the background colour to red in the Style Configurator
I have found the culprit.
The whitespace is rendered in Global Styles|Default Style. The non-whitespace
is governed by the Default Style Setting of the currently selected language.
In my case, both were Courier New, but the sizes were in conflict.
Hm...

Hi,
I'm using daily Notepad++ v5.3.1 Unicode to open a large number of files (more
than 100) to browse them and deleting the ones which I'm not interested in (90%
usually). The files' size go from 2KB to 7KB average, with some being about
40KB.
When reaching about twenty of them left open, N++ crashes, giving me the option
to generate a dump.
I don't think it's possible to attach the generated dump in the forums, if you
need it I can mail it to you.
It's not a show-stopper bug for me, I just re-open the remaining files and no
data is lost, it's just a bit bugging, also because when N++ crashes it loses
the Max number of history files (it gets reset to 0).
Best regards

In the Notepad++\plugins\Config\tidy\ i see 2 files:
W3C-CSSValidator.htm
W3C-HTMLValidator.htm
It looks like to be used directly from Notepad++, but how?

Now, I can create one files set in panel.
But I works with different projects.
All opened files in one panel don't comfortable.
It would be convenient to have switcher between many different files sets.
Sorry for my English :(

How about, for each of your projects:
* open Notepad+ession
* open all your files inn project
* save session file
Then, load a session file to open all files from some project. You can even
create session files for part of projeys if you need only 12 among the 37 files
it has.

Using Notepad++ to channge irs own config files may fail because these config
files are iverwritten on exit, and read once on startup only.
A simple way around this is to
* save the edited config files
* mark them as read only
* close Notepad++
* Reopen Notepad++ (I assume the last session is being remembered)
* Clear the read only flags set at step 2
CChris

What SQL DB are you using? Notepad++ will also recognize a double dash (--)
as a comment line and will highlight it as such. If your SQL DB also will
recognize
it as a comment, you can just find/replace all the # to --.

Does anyone know when or how to configure Windows Vista/WIndows 7 for Notepad
Plus to be the default? There is not system32/dllcache to add the executeable
to.

I'm using MySQL. It recognizes "-- " with a space after the -- so I'll give
that a shot. I just wish it recognized # as well since that's a MySQL supported
thing @ http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/comments.html :)
Thanks for the tip!
Andrew
