como ves tengo varios registros, y kiero cambiar los puntos por las comas, pero
claro solo kiero cambiar eso para los numeros, pork si te fijas, tb al final
de las lineas las descripciones tb tienen puntos al final pero esas no las kiero
cambiar, como se haria ???

Hello,
I was watching a php tutorial on youtube and the guy doing the tutorial was
using Notepad++ and as he was typing he had a speech bubble come up over the
top of a word saying he may of spelt it wrong.
I was wonderig if that was part of the built in dictionary and options of NP++
or if its a special addon?
I ask as I cant get the current dictionary to work and need some other way of
using a dictionary. (Yes I do have Aspell installed. I wont get in to why its
not working here as I have posted this already on the help forum. Though if
anyone wants to take a look at my post on the help forum and try to lend a had.
that would be a great help).

I see, thanks for the detailed reply.
I read a couple days later that the background change was due (probably) to
the bookmark marker not being allowed to display on margin 1, so it was an issue
to be settled in Compare, and not an issue with Compare, as you mentioned.

For 2/, closing and restarting N++ should do it, now that you have turned change
markers off.
For 1/, it is not a setting, but a configuration file. In the folder other
configuration files are in, create a blank file called asNotepad.xml. It must
be 0 byte long. Then close and restart.

Notepad++ uses a Windows (ctually cross platform) control called Scintilla,
which is like a stock RichEdit on steroids geared towards syntax highlighting.
This component handles regular epression searches, among other things.
However, it is developed as a completely independent project iin which the
Notepad++
development have no part at all. So, Notepad++ benefits of Scintilla's advances
for free and is stuck with Scintilla's limitations.
However, the most recent Scintilla versions might allow, with quite some work,
overriding its own regex search engine. Not a trivial task.
This is why your options are:
1/ Join those Scintilla users who may be asking for | in regular expressions
2/ Join the Notepad+++ users who consider it is worth the pain to add to
Notepad++
a separate regular expression component so as not to be stuck with Scintilla's.
