You can check the Plugin Central page on NpWiki++ (the new MediaWiki). So far
I've tried to include al the information I could gather, but will post on this
later today.

And yes, there is only an ANSI SearchInFiles, with no close equivalent. I don't
know how difficult it would be to port to Unicode.

The new Notepad++ MediaWiki (in short, NpWiki++) has a Plugin Central page at
http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/notepad-plus/index.php?title=Plugin_Centra
l

That page provides information on the 54 plugins I have been able to ferret
out. Some are on Sourceforge, some not. I'd say tahat version infos are correct
at this point.

Since yesterday, the wiki is available for edit to any registered SF user -
see Main page for details if you have never logged in there before. I think
it would be a great service to ourselves if any plugin releaser would update
the page as well as post his usual release notice.

I'll keep monitoring those out of SF or independent project plugins, unless
someone beats me to it.

It looks like it happens with .txt only.
I'm using 5.4.3 unicode under xp sp3.
I make a new txt by right clicking on desktop, new text file and then i try
to open it with notepad++.

With 5.4.3 unicode, plenty of plugins and ANSI as default format:
* right click on Notepad++.exe folder, choose New -> Document texte. The file
New Document Texte.txt is created with a length of 0 bytes.
* I open it from an already opened instance of N++, and the name is kept.

Using Windows XP SP3 as well.

Any more narrowing down?

Under XP, I have found that enabling advanced text services solved a bunsh of
non latin character issues with NP++. I don't know about Vista or Win 7, but
it could be a lead.

This is NOT true!!

Have a look at the following snapshot:

http://www.picamatic.com/show/2009/06/20/06/23/4063667_1249x905.png

(Click on the picture again if it is shrinked displayed)

Here is the same textfile displayed with the same font (Lucida Console bold
8) by two different editors (Notepad2 and Notepad++) which are BOTH BASED on
Scintilla!!

As you can see there are still some significant line spacing differences!

So it cannot be an error of Scintalla engine. I guess Notepad++ should provide
an appropriate option for that.

Thomas

In case of doubt: use the Global override for both font face and size. You
probably
have the pointsize of the match brace highlight at the default 12 instead of 10.

This setting applies to all stylers, so not only .txt is affected.

Hi!

I keep getting this error, whenever I try to open something with Notepad++.

hSelf==NULL

I uninstall the program and reinstall. It works for a little while and then,
the same thing again! OMG! Why???

O.S.: Windows XP x64 SP2
NPad Vrs: 3.9

I did try to update Notepad++ once, but I was very dissapointed to see that
the lines are not moved the next line if they are too long, but they are
showened
like in Notepad++, wich really makes the software complitely useful!

I am sick and tired of this error. Please, help me!
Daniel (Romania)

"I was very dissapointed to see that the lines are not moved the next line if
they are too long, but they are showened like in Notepad++" <-- My mistake.
What I ment to say it's that it looks like simple MS-Notepad.
