I am using Notepad+ 5.3. Just tried what you posted, but it doesn't work. Does
5.3 have this function?

I'd like to make a request for a text expander plugin for Notepad++ with similar
if not exact functionality to Lifehacker's awesome "Texter" application. I'm
not sure if it's possible or how difficult it would be but I thought I'd ask.
Any help?

Hi,

Thanks for the wonderfull plugin. i use it for my everyday work

but with recent n++ & compare plugin update i found few bugs. I even tried
deleting
the compare config ini inside C:\Program
Files\Notepad++\plugins\Config\Compare.ini

1. Navigation bar selection is always on even if u deselect
in plugins-->compare-->navigation bar. Closing & re-opening n++ keeps navigation
bar option selected.

2. alt+d or ctrl page up/down shortcut keys doesnt work

here is my config

1. n++ 5.4.4 (unicode)
2. compare plugin - 1.5.4 (unicode)
3. windows xp sp3

other plugins (all unicode)
- function list 2.0 beta
- hex editor 0.9.3
- change markers 1.2.1
- universal indent gui
- window manager 1.2.2

hope this will help make an update at the earliest.

Morning,

I want to search and replace any cr/lf not followed by '730'. I tried it like
this

\r\n[^7]

in regular expression mode. When I search for

\r\n7

I find all occurences I not want to replace so I thought I was using a
complementary
search in my first example. Does anyone know how to do this.

Thanks,

Cynthia

Hi Somic,

just starting using your plugin ...
What I missed right at starting is conversion functionality: e.g. hex->decimal
and vice versa ...

Have I overseen it? If not consider this as a feature request ... :-)

Thanks CChris.
As you said, it's not a job for normal users like me. I'll just have to use
other sql editors then.

When I right-click and choose edit with Notepad++ I get an error message titled
"CreateProcess" and the message says "The requested operation requires
elevation."
I hit OK and I get another messagebox titled "Exception :" and the message is
"1002" I hit OK and it opens the file... like normal. It does this everytime,
so I tried setting it to run as admin under compatibility. This gives a new
error, the new error messagebox is titled "Notepad++ Extension: Error" and the
message is "Error creating process: nppcm.dll needs to be in the same directory
as the notepad++ executable"

I double checked, and nppcm.dll is in the same dir, the only difference with
this error, is it doesn't open the file like normal. Wondering if there's a
workaround, or is this a bug that needs to be fixed?

If you check IdeaTorrent, you'll see that I posted an idea about extending the
Prefix option to a separate prefix, which would cover the issue.

I think it is quite possible to implement this:
* in LexUser.cxx: when a word is on a grup with separate prefix status, the
next active token is styled the same and otherwie ignored
* In the UDL panel, add some groups and new checkboxes
* in the part of the code that reads userDefineLang.xml, make provisions for
reading/writing the new group options. Option defaults to false for backwards
compatibility.

If I were more fluent in C++, I'd have done it already and submitted a patch.
You see, the critical part is havng three different subsystems work together
consistently.

Now, submitting a working patch doesn't mean it will go into the code soon,
because
1/ there are priorities, and some issues have gotten more attention
2/ and the developers have their own time resource mamnagement

CChris

Works for me.

The contents of the folder in the archive need to be unpacked as-is into N++
directory.
You wind up with two dll's in \Plugins. Rename the right dll by removing the
trailing _unicode/_ansi part.

If instal procedure isn't clear, contact author or post on Plugin Development
forum. You may want to also download the _win32.zip file, because it has an
install.htm as well as source code.
