Updating N++ up to 5.4.4 didn't solve anything, even a clean XP install. To the symptoms described originally I can confirm that an "error sound" is played when closing N++ and the one-char-title-bar is displayed. As dv__ suggested I tried disabling the plugins one by one, and found the bad guy: NppExec.dll It's a plugin that I never used (I didn't even know it existed, actually) It remains a mistery for me why this DLL has anything to do with the title bar when I simply choose to open a random file. I mean: do creating empty documents and switching the tabs have anything to do with "executing a script"? Dunno. For now I'm fairly happy with this plugin disabled. Just wanted you to know that NppExec.dll is the apparent cause to the reported problem. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Do you have the same issue using Edit -> Convert case -> to lowzexase instead?
