The next time I opened Notepad++, it started putting in tab characters where I wanted spaces, and I checked and saw that my setting had been changed to the default tab character. Is there any way to save my preferences from one session to the next? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. The User Account Control security screen is activated every time I initiate the Notepad++ v. 5.4.5. I don't believe this occurred on the older system. I have temporarily switched to NoteTab Light as it does not activate the security system. Account Control security is set on the default to "Notify me only when....." Is this behavior normal and is there a way to eliminate this from occurring every time I use the program? Thanks in advance! Actually it is in all languages. When I type ? (shows me ?), save the file and open in notepad it shows me ?. So it is not related with font style. It is intersepting ? as ?. Probably a bug. It is related with Notepad++'s itself. It has no support for ????? (in notepad++: ????I?) The only way is "type" them properly is to copy-paste. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Line length should be the plain-text 'standard' of a maximum of 75 characters/spaces per line of text (so the text will be human-readable even with an 800x600 display setting). * The line length of the file is too long (e.g. longer than the 'standard' maximum of 75 characters/spaces per line). This is particularly a problem if a Word file has been converted to 'plain text' using the Word "save as" commands, as described below. This will almost always result in a file which looks like this, where each 'paragraph' of text is displayed as a single text line which will run far off the right-side of the display screen, which is not 'human-readable.' I want to use 70 line length of the file. Also, I want to use one line then another line consequent. not like this. Line length should be the plain-text 'standard' of a maximum of 75 characters/spaces per line of text (so the text will be human-readable even with an 800x600 display setting). Other shortcuts using ALT-SPACE don't work as well. Is there any other way to emulate the minimizing *without* switching back to non-Post-It view? And are there chances for implementing the shortcuts mentioned above? Thanks. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
