[notepad-plus - Help] Syntax folding (SourceForge.net) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Message: 1 Date: Fri, 07 Aug 2009 12:02:31 +0000 From: "SourceForge.net" <nore...@sourceforge.net> Subject: [Notepad-plus-plus] [notepad-plus - Help] RE: Tab list - new line To: nore...@sourceforge.net Message-ID: <7549630.331...@sourceforge.net> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7549630 By: citricsquid I don't seem to be able to locate these options, but from the sound of it they sound wrong. What I want to achieve is instead of having a single line of tabs at the top that scroll when more than there is room for display is to have them layered, so instead of [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] | End of visible screen area, scroll displays | [_TAB_] [_TAB_] I want it to do: [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] [_TAB_] So there is only the screens width of tabs, then any more go onto another line if tabs. Does this make sense? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. It does not hilight them. >From Xbracket List's readme file: "As Scintilla highlights pair brackets by itself, XBrackets Lite doesn't do this (unlike XBrackets for AkelPad) - therefore I call it "XBrackets Lite". So, is this a Scintilla issue, or can I configure NP++ to do it? Please remove all plugins to see if it still crash. If yes, then provide use the instruction to reproduce the crash. otherwise, help us to find the plugin causes crash by adding them back one by one. you can do the above to contribute something useful for the community, or You can just be screaming, insulting and don't use it anymore. It's your call. Don ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Rememer that Scintilla can be configured for the GTK environment. I foundnot more than 250 diferent Windows API, and some 700 sendMessage()/sendDlgItemMessage() occurrences, many for internal messages or for very basic stuff that I'd expect any GUI to offer - get text of a control, add item to a list, and such. A few calls will be problematic, like thoe about window hooks, file associations and shell integration. They could be left aside for an initial port. So, while the porting will be extremely tedious, I believe that it is not technically difficult. And dn't forget that Linux does a few things in a definitely more straightforward way than Windows. An extremely good knowledge of GTK is clearly needed, and this can't be the work of one person. Is it worth the pain? We'd have to ask the people who manage the main distros. Some brands of Unix have Ports Collections and a pool of people to convert things from other Unices. Con't they have it for Wndows apps too? I am under XP Pro SP3 with a non admin account. I associated .cxx with Notepad++. No error message. But on double clicking the .cxx I got it opened in Notepad, not notepad++. This came as no surprise. Access to the registry is retricted, and file associations set by users, depending on the way they are done, work or don't. If, under a non admin Vista account, association of your file with NP++ was not complete, it is not very surprising that it opens as what Notepad++ is supposed to support by default. That would be normal text. I'm sure that if you set the type for new file to C, your java file will be opened as C. Just a conjecture. My concern is this: the attached zip file (with the screen shots) was almost 2mb. I hope it was not rejected by your email service provider. If you have not received anything from me, then please send me an email, and I will resend my email in parts.
