NP++ doesn't have a native hex view, but there is a plugin called Hex Editor,
available from the npp-plugins project Files page.

Well it is not exactly trivial, as it requires the reader for shortcuts.xml,
the Find/Replace dialog and the macro recorder to work together, which is not
in the current code structure. More on this soon I hope...

It would be nice to have a small plugin showing an ASCII table and allowing
such insertion.
What I do is to switch to hex mopde using HexEditor and insert the hex value
I wish. Works with unicode chars as well.
Did you consider using the Character Map Windows utility, or any free
replacement
for it?

While this is not technically impossible, this would be far from easy, as it
would ad a completely nw parsing system on top of the one Scintilla uses and
rovides.
Did you consider making this feature request to the Scitilla project? That's
where it actually belongs I think.

Ask for it on IdeaTorrent. There are several operations that have been requested
to be made available on all opened file, and more still for which such a
modifier
would make sense.
Concerning the "Convert all *.php in folder to ...", I'd consider using a sed
script to do that.

Could you elaborate? What part of the "coding style" gets broken?
The most obvious item I can think of is the tab-to-spaces setting. But then,
it is your call to configure Eclipse/NetBeans so that you have consistent
settings
between them and Notepad++. Notepad++ doesn't add an character behind your back,
contrary perhaps to the environments you refer to. What you see after turning
viewing of all symbols on is what you get, apart from the BOM in UTF-8 format,
granted.
