Palaiseau, Feb 3, 2002

Dear Colleague,

I am organizing a workshop on
that will be held at
Laboratoire de Micanique des Solides (LMS)
Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau (~10 miles from Paris), France
and that is dedicated more particularly to ASME members.

I know about your important activities in this area.
that is why I would like to sollicitate your participation and to
invite your colleagues and relations..

Could you, please, forward this call for papers to all your local
I should be very pleased and honoured if you could participate too.

Best thanks and regards

Directeur de Recherches au CNRS
Since 1986, he participated in developing several consultant
companies such as MECALOG or CADLM (a transfert/research center
for mechanical, civil-engineering, transportation, off-shore and
military industries) where he is the Scientific Director.
His previous scientific interests were in micromechanical
constitutive modeling of materials, numerical analysis of
structures, new formulations and simple analysis of inelastic
structures and non-destructive tests.
His current research interests are towards the applications of
a new approach for INTELLIGENT optimal design of materials and
structures, control of manufacturing and survey of structures
based on the coupling the existing knowledge of
experts, numerical results, and experimental data,
with special automatic learning and optimization techniques.
