1st Canadian Conference on Nonlinear Solid Mechanics Victoria, British Columbia, Canada June 16 -June 20, 1999 Scope The 1st Canadian Conference on Nonlinear Solid Mechanics will be held June 16 -June 20, 1999 at the University of Victoria, in Victoria, British Columbia. The Conference is intended to attract engineers, applied mathematicians, physicists, chemists, software experts, and industrial practitioners to a truly interdisciplinary program. It aims to provide an international forum for communicating recent and projected advances in various areas of Nonlinear Solid Mechanics, to assemble researchers working on common themes from complementary perspectives, and to provide an opportunity for direct information exchange among delegates from industry, research laboratories, and academia.
