The Mlock is a vestigial piece of code that I think we should get rid of. As
far as I know, we don't use it for anything and I think we should kill it with
fire, especially due to the stack issues on the newest java6 for OSX. I'm going
to hold off for a few days to see if anyone has issues with this before taking
action.
