Eric Newton commented on ACCUMULO-873:
--------------------------------------

My preference is to remove this from the monitor page.

# it doesn't work with a non-hdfs user
# it isn't part of the public API
# hdfs works well enough these days that we're not monitoring it so closely,
which was the purpose for it in the first place
# it won't work with other file systems
# JobTracker box should go away, too: there's no API for it in foture versions
of hadoop

> Accumulo includes some HDFS information on the Overview page of the monitor.
> Unfortunately, on MapR, there is a casting issue which causes everything on
> the page to break. Ideally, I would like to see this work, either from MapR
> being part of the same Interface or us supporting MapR in this space. At the
> very least, I would like to see the monitor unkinked so that if there IS an
> error, we at least get the useful graphs.
