Christopher Tubbs commented on ACCUMULO-953:
--------------------------------------------
Yes, we could, but I imagine it might be harder to deprecate only part of a
command in a way that the resulting help documentation will be easy to
understand. I'm not sure I have a lot of time to work on this issue for 1.5.0,
though. So, if you have a good idea for how to achieve this without replacing
the command, [~billie.rinaldi], and want to do it, I'd welcome passing it on to
you.
> Deprecate the "setiter" and replace with "setiterator"

> Filters and Aggregators were deprecated in 1.4.x, replaced with regular
> filtering iterators and combining iterators (Combiners). The shell did not
> indicate these are deprecated, and the "setiter" command is aging quite
> poorly, with options for features that are deprecated. It should be
> deprecated and replaced with a new command that is much simpler, and more
> intuitive.
