Corey J. Nolet commented on ACCUMULO-1399:
------------------------------------------
Personally, JEXL was the first thing that came to my mind. I was just thinking
it would be neat if there was a feature that would allow you to create an alias
that points to some file of commands. Maybe when creating the alias, you
specify a file of commands and it copies it to some directory that can be
recalled later.

Isn't that quite old and unsupported these days?

> Proposing modification to the Shell to allow applications to create their own
> set of commands. This might be accomplished using java.util.ServiceLoader or
> something like it. Specifically, I'm thinking of a case where I have a create
> table command that is different than the one provided by the Shell. In my
> case, my create table command may create one or more tables and setup
> iterators on them.
