This suggestion is for 1.6.0. Assuming that is six months away, there should
be at least a couple of beta releases of hadoop 2 out by then (if not better),
with a stabilized API. Also, keep in mind that we have found conditions under
which the stable version loses data and hadoop 2 does not.
